![]() Author has written 1 story for Labyrinth. 7/10/09- I have been completely missing for the past few months, haven't I? I did not abandon fanfic, but I have been insanely busy. I've been hired as a staff writer on a developing website, and so I've been spending most of my time on my original works, putting fanfiction on the backburner. Not to mention I'm in the middle of a move and post this from amidst a sea of half-packed boxes. So let's learn something about Fab, shall we? I'm seventeen, residing in Los Angeles. I'm a writer and an artist and I drink too much coffee. I like typewriters and thrift store clothes and vinyl records. I've been told I can't let go of the sixties and I suppose it's true. I believe in faeries and the existence of Goblin Kings. Teenagers amuse and frighten me and for the most part I stay far away from them. I get panic attacks when it's crowded but I love being part of a crowd. I'm a traveler with a lot of places to go and no ways to get there, but I will. I read books to explore others' secret worlds and I write them to share my own. I write Labyrinth fanfiction first and foremost, because I believe it's truly one of the best fandoms out there, with the quite open ending of the movie, and the richness and limitless possibilities of the setting itself. Plus, well... David Bowie. Tights. Need I say more? There are a few other fandoms I read and I may write for if the mood strikes me. Pierce's Immortals series will definitely see a fic from me at some point soon, and I quite enjoy reading Beka Cooper fics, though I'm not sure if I'd write one myself. I'm absolutely in love with the Books of Pellinor right now, and it saddens me that the fandom is currently so small. If you haven't read the books, go do so now! Come back and write fanfiction for them, it needs it. And if you have read the books, skip directly to step two. Right now! Currently in Production: Labyrinth Chaptered Fic (Outlining) Daine and Numair Ficlet/Drabble (Partially written, stopped because of time restraints, needs a bit of expansion and rewriting.) Favorite Authors- Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, Charles De Lint, Tamora Pierce, Anne McCaffrey, Ray Bradbury, Scott Westerfeld, and many, many more. Book I've Read The Most Times- Ella Enchanted, by Gail Carson Levine. The first time was 1998, and in 11 years I've read it well over 50 times, though the exact count is lost to me. Favorite Movies- Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, John Hughes movies, Miyazaki films. Shows I Tivo- The Office, True Blood. Pets- A giant purebred German Shepherd, and a Shepherd/Chow mix we rescued. Their names are Hendrix and Joplin, respective |
