FAQ about me:

Are you a boy or a girl?

I'm a guy.

Name?

Some of you may be able to figure it out. Others may not. It's not hard, really.

How old are you?

Old enough to be a Junior in high school.

Interests?

Playing video games, playing baseball, writing fanfiction, reading fanfiction, eating food, sleeping.

Favorite games/series?

Battlefield, Pokémon, Medal of Honor, Metro Last Light

Favorite TV shows?

Pokémon: Advanced, Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl, NCIS, Chicago Fire, Modern Family, Family Guy, Lost, and of course, the Walking Dead!

3DS FC?

2423-3705-7798. My Friend Safari is the Grass Type, with Gogoat, Pansage, and Sawsbuck. I'm adding anyone. If you wanna exchange codes, add mine FIRST and THEN PM me yours. I am now accepting battles! If I am online, send me a request and I'll accept it!

How did you get your username?

I have been using this name for almost five years now. I made it when I was twelve, which is where the number comes from. I decided to combine two of my favorite things at the time, Star Wars and Pokemon. Clone comes from the clone troopers, and Blazer comes from the nickname of my first Pokemon, Blaziken.

Is Jake Smith, the character in your fic, based off of you?

No. The only similarities we have are his Pokemon being my favorites. The appearance is slightly based off of mine, but still different. Also, his personality is completely different than mine.

Favorite Pokémon?

1: Blaziken (the original Fire Fighter)

2: Swampert

3: Garchomp

4: Metagross

5: Luxray

6: Eevee

7: Greninja

8: Excadrill

9: Braviary

10: Rayquaza

And some others I can't be bothered to mention.

Least favorite Pokémon? (No particular order)

1: Delphox (seriously, this thing is terrible looking)

2: Graveler

3: Vanillite

4: Vanillish

5: Vanilluxe

6: Charizard (overrated much?)

7: Zubat

8: Pikachu

9: Bidoof

10: Bibarel

Characters you like?

Ash, May, Dawn, Pikachu, Brock, Gary, Misty, Harrison, James, Hilbert, Hilda, and Flannery

Characters you dislike and why?

Drew: He always put May down, then tried to fix everything with a rose. He's arrogant and egotistical, two things I hate in a character.

Max: He's annoying, simply put. There were many instances when he ruined "moments" between Ash and May, and his voice actor didn't help things.

Iris: She's also annoying. Her voice drove me crazy, and she was very whiney. Also, I hate Axew, because the voice was annoying and he sounded like a big baby. Her Dragonite really needs to take a chill pill. He's always angry, which completely goes against what they're supposed to be like. Her one redeeming factor is her Excadrill, he was pretty badass.

Trip: He's better than Ash in his first battle? Really? Also, he shares many of the same qualities as Drew, who I hate.

Jessie: She always puts James down, often beating him up. She also comes up with all the plans, which always fail. Plus she's been stalking a damn Pikachu for at least seven years. James gets a pass cuz he's cool.

So I herd u liek Mudkipz?

I prefer Swampert, although Mudkip is kinda cute (nothing compared to Eevee though)

Favorite generation?

In this order: 3, 4, 6, 5, 2, 1. I grew up with Gen 3, so it will always have a special place in my heart.

Shippings you support?

Advanceshipping: this is the main pairing I support. Ive always liked the mentor student relationship between the two, and Ash and May's personalities compliment each other perfectly. From battling to eating habits, they are one and the same. As for hints, there was a lot to support it, most notably the entire Manaphy movie (seriously, they could've mad it canon then and there, and there would be no arguments, its that shippy.). There are many other hints that I can't be bothered to mention, since they would take up the whole page. On top of all that, I grew up with AG, which probably heavily influenced this decision.

Pearlshipping: Not as many hints as Advanceshipping, but I support the pair nonetheless. I think that they would name a cute couple. Even though many people say that they have a brother-sister relationship, there have been instances when it went beyond that.

Egoshipping: I've always felt like Gary and Misty could be a couple. It's not nearly as popular as other shippings, but I feel like it could work. Their personalities fall in line, which is a huge plus. There aren't very many hints, but I support it nonetheless.

Luckshipping (BrockxLucy): Lucy was one of the few girls that showed signs of liking Brock back. She blushed when he asked her to travel with him, and if Max didn't interrupt, she probably would've said yes. Plus, Brock has to find love at some point, right?

Petalrootshipping (JakexMay): I created it. That's it. No other reason. The name comes from PETALburg and LittleROOT, the hometowns of the two characters.

Shippings you don't support?

Contestshipping: I don't like Drew. Never have, never will. He's arrogant, and always puts May down, only to try and fix it with a convinient rose. He's just another Gary, but I like Gary. I don't like Drew. Even though there were hints, I never liked them one bit. I support Advanceshipping, which is the only shipping with May that I support.

Pokeshipping: Even though it was clear that Misty liked Ash, it only seemed to be one sided. Misty always insulted Ash, and I never found them compatible as more than friends. Another reason is again Advanceshipping, which is the main ship I support.

Negaishipping: I hate Iris. She's the worst traveling companion of Ash by far, closely seconded by Max (who's only slightly less annoying). She and her Axew drove me nuts, and is the reason why I stopped watching the Best Wishes series. Of the fiftyish episodes that I watched, I saw zero evidence of them ever having a chance at becoming a pair.

Any gay couple: Sorry, I just find it awkward. I have nothing against gays, but any fics focusing on gay pairs I find awkward to read. I don't hate them, I just don't support them.

Anything else is fair game.

Tips for writing?

I don't have that many, since I'm new to this, but I can give a few words of advice. First off, and most importantly, pacing. Don't rush the story. Take time to develop the plot and characters. There have been too many times when I've seen fics that have had potential, only to be rushed, thus ruining the entire story.

Secondly, battles. I used to follow the formula: trainer 1 calls his attack, then trainer 2, then describe what happens, but I have changed it to allow a better flow. This works for me, but it may not work for you. Explain what happens, but don't go into too much detail. Also, make sure it flows smoothly. If it's choppy, it needs improvement. And don't drag them on for longer than they should, or make them end abruptly for that matter. Most importantly, make them believable. A Caterpie will never defeat a Charizard (slight exaggeration, but you get the point). Type match ups are key, don't forget them.

Lastly, and most importantly, PROOFREAD. Nothing ruins a story more than bad grammar and sentence structure. Fix spelling errors, and make sure your story is readable. Get a Beta Reader if you're not sure. There are hundreds out there, and I'm sure someone will say yes. Find one, or at least do it yourself if you're proficient in grammar. Nothing ruins a story more than bad grammar and constant spelling errors.

I don't really think I can say anything else on this topic.

Anything Else?

My opinion on OC adventures in Pokémon FanFiction:

I will usually check them out if I'm bored, and if they have a somewhat interesting summary. The first chapter makes or breaks the entire story. Many die with only one chapter published, and that's simply because no one reads them. I'll read them, but if they're bad, I will not continue. The best thing to do is to write something that stands out. If it stands out, then more people will follow it.

If you ever need an OC for a tournament, or you want to know more about the main character in my fic, here ya go. Just PM me if you want to use him.

Name: Jake Smith

Hometown: Littleroot Town

Age: 16

He's 6'2, weighs 150, and has some muscle tone, but not bulky. He wears blue and white sneakers, baggy blue jeans, a black t-shirt underneath a red zip up sweatshirt, and wears a white hat with a poke ball on the front with a blue brim backwards. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He wears black fingerleess gloves on his hands. On his shoulder sits his best friend Eevee.

Battle cry: (Pokemon), engage!

His six main Pokemon:

Eevee. He rides on Jake's shoulder wherever he goes, and is really affectionate. Jake usually confides with him whenever he's feeling down or wants to talk to someone. He doesn't battle, and Jake can understand what he says. He was saved by Jake from a poacher, and his been with him ever since. He will never evolve, because Jake keeps an Everstone in his bag just for him. He knows defensive moves in case something bad happens, but generally he doesn't have to use them. Moves: Double Team, Protect, Dig, Substitute, Tackle, Wish, Helping Hand.

Blazer. His shiny Blaziken that he chose as his starter. Has the ability Speed Boost, and can mega evolve. He is Jake's ace, and is known for ruthlessly attacking his opponents. He likes to get up close and personal, and uses his tremendous leg power to his advantage. High Jump Kick is only used when there's little to no risk of it missing, since the recoil can be devastating. One of his signature moves is trapping an opponent with Rock Tomb, then finishing with High Jump Kick. Moves: High Jump Kick, Fire Punch, Double Kick, Protect, Close Combat (a series of Sky Uppercuts and Double Kicks in rapid succession), Sky Uppercut, Blaze Rush (basically a fire priority move), Earthquake, Flare Blitz, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb.

Riptide, his Swampert. He's known for being able to take hits, as well as dish out damage. Likes to keep his opponents at range, but he's no stranger to hand to hand combat. His ability is Torrent. Moves: Earthquake, Hydro Pump, Mud Shot, Earth Power, Mud Bomb, Hammer Arm, Superpower, Stone Edge, Ice Punch, Ice Beam, Hidden Power, Water Pulse, Muddy Water.

Maverick. His Garchomp, and second strongest Pokemon. He likes to fight from range, gradually getting closer as the match progresses. He likes to fly, and uses his speed to his advantage. His ability is Sand Veil, so expect him to have an advantage against a Tyranitar. Moves: Flamethrower, Dragon Rush, Brick Break, Iron Tail, Earth Power, Earthquake, Sand Tomb, Body Slam, Sandstorm, Dragon claw, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Crunch.

Shadow, his Greninja. He is ALWAYS his lead, as long as its a three on three, all the way to a six on six, he is the lead. No exceptions. His ability is Protean, changing his type based on the moves he uses. He is extremely fast, and uses speed and the type changes to play mind games with his opponents. Moves: Hidden Power (Fire), Flash Cannon, Night Slash, Brick Break, Grass Knot, Surf, Hydro Pump, Extrasensory, Earth Power, Ice Beam, Shadow Sneak, Water Shuriken, Spikes, Mat Block.

Brain, his Metagross. Ability: Clear Body. It uses his psychic powers to immobilize its opponents, and then strikes them up close and personal with powerful punches. Has developed a way to counter fire type attacks With Iron Defense. Moves: Psychic, Meteor Mash, Shadow Ball, Bullet Punch, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Fire punch, Earthquake, Hammer Arm, Iron Defense, Magnet Rise.

Shockwave, his Luxray. His ability is Rivalry. He likes to wear his opponents out from range, and then get up close and personal. Relies on biting moves a lot. Moves: Thunderbolt, Discharge, Wild Charge, Scary Face, Body Slam, Superpower, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Crunch, Thunder Fang, Agility, Iron Tail, Helping Hand.

Jake always starts out with Shadow if the match is a three on three or more. He uses him to play mind games with his opponents, wearing them down mentally. He then proceeds to use speed to his advantage, except in the case of Brain and Riptide, who act as battering rams, dealing out the damage they take. He always finishes with Blazer, mega evolving him if needed, which is usually enough to win. He also uses the field to his advantage, if its more than just a plain battlefield. Don't expect an easy match if you face him. He specializes in double battles, and has specific pairings that he has trained together for years.

In double battles, Jake will fight differently depending on the pairs. His battle style with one pair might be completely different than what it is with another. Each pairing is different, but they have trained together for years preventing any random slip ups. The pairs complement each other well, allowing great synergy between the two. He is undefeated for two years in double battles.

Personality: Cold and ruthless on the battlefield, but he's kind and caring off of it. He can be sarcastic at times, and is a bit awkward when it comes to girls. He hates arrogant and egotistical people, and likes to put them in their place. He has a weakness when it comes to food, and HATES Team Rocket, as they took Blazer away from him when he was on his journey through Hoenn. He has won the Hoenn league twice, and placed top four in Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos, and top eight in Johto and Kanto. He was childhood bestfriends with May Maple. He has other Pokemon, as seen in my fic, so if you want details on those, just ask. On a final note, I'm a believer in Pokemon being able to learn more than four moves, which is why I listed so many for each Pokemon.

Jake's Pokemon, as revealed in The Pokemon World Tournament:

Blazer (shiny Blaziken), Riptide (Swampert), Shadow (Greninja), Brain (Metagross), Shockwave (Luxray), Grace (Gardevoir), Blade (Gallade), Maverick (Garchomp), Pharaoh (Cofagrigus), Talon (Braviary), Juggernaught (Excadrill), Flare (Arcanine), Titan (Tyrantrum), Drapula (Gliscor), Tusk (Mamoswine), Renegade (Hydreigon), Nightmare (Gengar), Jaws (Feraligatr)
