So. who is TheWickedQuill?

For anyone who might be stumbling upon my profile for the first time, TheWickedQuill was once jracklesfan77, also known on various sites as Shay and (on LJ) as previously as untold_story - and now as thewickedquill. I can similarly be found on dreamwidth as thewickedquill.

I'm 40 years of age, female, been married for a little over 18 years, no children, have a dog that totally owns me, a few fun hobbies and very little sanity :) which makes up for everything. I also work 3 days a week. It's a busy but enjoyable existence :)

I am the founder and an co-administrator of the Dark Angel fan fiction archive, Raising Hell as well as the E2RH Dark Angel centric forums. The archive accepts all pairings, all ratings and all genres and we are always looking for new and old talent :D

Fandoms I have enjoyed/still enjoy (include but are not limited to): "24", Alias, Angel, Arrow, BtVS, Dark Angel (as previously stated) Doctor Who, Firefly, Gilmore Girls, Harry Potter, Fringe, Jericho, Merlin, Moonlight, Murder in the First, NCIS, Nikita, Once Upon a Time, One Tree Hill, Shadowhunters, Smallville, Spooks, Stargate: Atlantis, Supernatural, The Good Wife, Tin Man and Torchwood.

I will occasionally dip into other fandom pools based on books and TV when the desire hits, SCC-Terminator, the world of Dune/CoD (are you seeing the sci-fi/fantasy pattern?) etc.

FUTURE PROJECTS

I have very little planned for future fics at this point, but if and when they come, I'll be sure to make note of it. The following fics, however, have been started and are in the works (though saying that doesn't mean they will definitely happen!) If my muse cooperates, they may eventually be beta-read and posted - but only once they have been completed.

A Hazy Shade Of Winter (Dark Angel) - an Alec centric, non-shipper fic with a supporting cast of the less expected. It's a story of trust and acceptance and the lengths to which one will go to protect those they care about. Warnings: slightly dark and angsty, M15 maximum rating.

Threads of Existence (Dark Angel) - a Manticore centric fic spanning pre-pulse to, and including, Season 2 DA. Explores Manticore's true purpose and intent and how the rise of the Familiars affected the changes brough on by the Pulse. Mostly canon compliant, some parallel canon. Probably Genfic, PG13.

As Fate Would Have It (Harry Potter) - 5 part series revolving around Rabastan Lestrange (and Hermione Granger as his fated mate.) Maximum R rating. Current stories already written within the series: Silence Screams the Truth, which can be found below.
Others to in the series: Dirty Pretty Things, For What Is Mine, The Changing Tides, All Things Come to He Who Waits.
