A collection of one-shots that have been floating around my head, all based on our beautiful schoolteacher and handsome Mountie, for all you Hearties to read and hopefully enjoy over the hiatus. Fluff, angst, adventure. I'm not sure if all one-shots will have the same rating, but I will state it at the beginning of each one-shot. Chapter 8 is up.

A different Season 2: Elizabeth and Jack are set out on quite an adventure full of action and a lot of romance. There will be twists and turns along the way but "love never fails". (I wrote this while we were waiting for season 2 so these were my predictions. This fic starts from season 1 finale.)

There are few loves truer than the one shared by Elizabeth and Jack. Join the two of them, and all of Hope Valley as they explore times of love, grief, life, and joy. This story begins just a few minutes before the season two finale ended. It explores what might have been, had Jack been the one to propose to Elizabeth that day. After the season 2 finale what if Elizabeth had said yes on accident.

Several months have passed since Jack and Elizabeth shared that first special kiss. They are courting, and learning more and more about each other. Ride along as they grow independently, and in their relationship as a couple. This is my first attempt at anything like this. I am not sure that I have any talent to continue, but I have to say that it was fun!

Elizabeth has made a decision to teach in a small town, Hope Valley, located hundreds of miles from everything she knows an everyone she loves. Jack has his 1st posting in Hope Valley, attempting to work his way up to a more exciting post. Will Rosemary win back Jack, or will he and Elizabeth find their heart and home in Hope Valley?

Jack and Elizabeth are about to celebrate 40 years of marriage and they are reminded of their beautiful lives together.

The Season 2 cliffhanger left many of us saddened by Charles' return, and subsequent marriage proposal to Elizabeth. This story changes the cliffhanger slightly, and adds what I would have liked to have seen, had the show been 30 minutes longer!

It's immediately after the season two cliffhanger. (Though I have included characters from season three.) Jack walks in the church and sees that Elizabeth has accepted Charles' proposal despite the fact that she still loves Jack. Do Jack and Elizabeth find their way back to each other? Jack and Elizabeth have been married for over a year, and Elizabeth has just found out some exciting news. However, things get complicated when Jack receives news of his own.

"If she follows her heart, I'm sure she'll be just fine." Jack Thornton The people of Hope Valley and Hamilton are all struggling to follow their heart. Jack and Elizabeth are trying to build their relationship amid pressure from family & friends. Abigail is trying to keep her cafe open despite Henry Gowen's efforts otherwise. There's a reason the town is named Hope Valley.

'Under the garlands and before the eyes of all the inhabitants of Hope Valley, Jack and Elizabeth were pronounced husband and wife. By early spring the next year, Elizabeth surprised Jack and all of her friends with the news they'd all hoped and longed for. A baby.' Against all odds, Jack and Elizabeth marry. This story was inspired by a scene in WCTH S2E1: Jack & Elizabeth arrive at the Thatcher home and make plans to meet in town a mere two hours later. They seem quite at ease to kiss goodbye! I found myself dwelling on Jack & Elizabeth's unseen trip from Coal Valley and Hamilton. This is my version of that "missing scene."

Jack and Elizabeth have had many trials and tribulations as Elizabeth twice traveled back to Hamilton to attend to family matters. Jack initially travels back with Elizabeth and, upon meeting Elizabeth's wealthy family, feels the sting of their disapproval of him, especially when they promote Elizabeth's childhood friend, Charles Kensington, as a romantic rival.

School was out for the summer and travelling back for Viola and Sir Lionel's wedding would occur soon. What happens when you stop and think back on what lead you to this point in your life?

Jack and Elizabeth are still happily in love, but do they hold their future in their own hands or does an old woman know more than them?

Charles has declared war on Jack and Elizabeth's relationship after being rejected. When Jack is shipped off to another station and stops responding to Elizabeth's letters, will she give up everything - her family, her town, her reputation - to be with him? Will Jack let her?

Jack and Elizabeth continue to navigate their relationship through the cold winter months.

The S2 finale left many questions unanswered and it's about time for Elizabeth, Jack, and the people of Hope Valley to move forward once more. The heart leads some to their greatest desires and others to their downfall. JT/ET and other interesting developments.
