Spending lots of time dwelling in the SW universe and sometimes in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings realm has me staring into space too many times. Working midnights completes the picture of oblivion, thus the obvious pen name.

Favorite music: I'll listen to just about anything except folk, bluegrass, rap and reggae. I am partial to classical (anything from Bach to Vivaldi). I spent my 20's in the 80's, so I really have a lingering thing for hair bands. These days I like Maroon 5, anything Rob Thomas has been a part of, and I'm sure there are others my sieve-like mind is forgetting.

Favorite movies: All the Star Wars films, with more nostalgic fondess for the original three; the Indiana Jones series; Lord of the Rings series; Red Violin; Mask; Van Helsing; True Lies; While You were Sleeping; Corrina, Corrina.

Favorite TV shows: I really don't watch many. I think I have ADD when it comes to TV, so me watching CSI, Law and Order or 24 are completely out of the question. Gimme something like The Simpsons, King of the Hill, That 70's Show, and I'll probably be able to sit still and pay attention for a half hour, and still comprehend what is going on. I confess a bit of addiction to The Weather Channel and Jewelry Television. Mindless, repetitive pap I know, but it's soothing after a rotten night at work.

Favorite way to spend a day: NOT working! Cooking a fabulous meal, and then enjoying it with people who are at least as much of a food geek as I am. Each course is accompanied by the appropriate beer or wine, and and much comparison of tasting notes is exchanged, all the while talking about the current meal, past meals, and future meals. Preferably this is done outside on the deck. With candles.
