When Daryl Dixon, the painfully awkward loner, finds himself stuck on the side of the road with Carol Reynolds, an exuberant free spirit, he is thrown for loop. By the time his brother comes back for him, Carol has lost her shirt and Daryl has gained some important insight. After that walk, things will never be the same for either of them.

AU. Seventeen year old Merle Dixon comes home long enough to rescue his fifteen year old brother from the hands of their mother. With little more than nothing they take off for Atlanta to start a new life. This is a Caryl fic so you have been warned just in case that isn't your thing.

After Carol spends six years in prison, her daughter is a stranger and despite her new found freedom, her life is dismal. Daryl Dixon is trying his best to live a quiet life and raise his sixteen year old cousin. When the boy comes home from a party, dragging an unconscious Sophia Peletier with him, Daryl's determined to help the girl. Even if that means dealing with her mother.

A multi-shot I was prompted for about the Dixon brothers and Carol. Nothing redeeming about this. Rated VERY M. Takes place around the beginning of season 4. My Merle survived the governor and has both his hands. I'll write for this as inspiration strikes, updates can have good amount of time between them sometimes.
