Being called upon to join the Fellowship was a direction Mae never imagined her life to take. Gandalf insists it will do her good to leave the borders of Rivendell - Mae feels otherwise. When her Uncle bids her to take up the quest she finds herself on an adventure of a life time, one that she never knew she needed. Mae finds being alive and living are two very different concepts.
