But when an old rival from Nick's early days as a musician returns to sabotage their career, their manager Manny recruits a new musician into the band. But this new guy is mischievous and against responsibility. Is Jack the Guardians last hope, or their biggest mistake yet? Modern/Band AU

Set three years after the movie, Manny thinks that the Guardians need to spend more time with children, so he turns them human for a week and places them in a summer activity week for kids and teens. Shenanigans ensue. Is rated T for just in case. Also, this is my first fic. I hope you like it :)

However, it is only when he finds a familiar face that his plan for revenge is swung into motion.

Jack Overland's life is slightly less than average, but between looking after his sister and keeping up with his mom's flighty job he doesn't have much time to dwell on it. When he discovers a dark, haunted cavern beneath their house, his every perception of average is flipped upside down and he learns the hard way that the Boogeyman is much more than a myth. Modern AU.

In this short story Pitch spends some time both reminiscing over certain events and picking apart his physical features, alluding to both occurrences in his past and thoughts he struggles with from time to time. This short drabble addresses the fact that just about everybody has self-image issues, even the Nightmare King himself, which is an issue that I felt needed to be shared.

The Nightmare King is stuck in his caverns under the bed, and is plagued with nightmares of the Guardian of Fun. Like wise, Jack feels guilty about the punishment taken on Pitch, and feels pity for the ruler of fear. The two slowly develop a strange friendship as Jack comes to visit Pitch. Rated M because I'm not sure how I'll make this end, as well as language and violence.
