The political atmosphere is quite hot in the Canadian province I live in. The healthcare system is being dismantled, the welfare of our senior citizens is being torn down, the disabled folk are now losing everything they have fought for and gained in the past. My job as well as thousands of others on the line. If I do not post regularly for some time, you know why.

Many poems and short stories have been taken down due to the fact that they have been accepted for publications in magazines or they made the shortlist in contests. In the meantime, thank you all for the reviews.

I am a writer of poems and fantasy/sci-fi stories. Very often, when my thoughts are faster than my fingers, I have typos in my writings...so I apologize for that. Only my master copies get corrected, ie: the copy that ends up getting sent to magazines or publishers whenever possible. I once worked for the B.C. government in Communications (writing & graphics). Presently, I work as a Care Aide/Nurse's Aide in a Facility for seniors and write in my spare time.

As a teenager, I read J.R.R.Tolkein, C.S.Lewis, Ursula LeGuin, H.G.Wells, et al, as well as 'heavy' material by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Fyodor Dostoevsky, plus of all things, the Upanishads, the Koran, and the Gnostic Gospels.

I love to read fantasy novels by Guy Gavriel Kay whenever I can in my hectic life.
