![]() Author has written 12 stories for Avengers, One Piece, Stand Still. Stay Silent, Radio Dramas, and Misc. Comics. I enjoy One Piece. I usually do not enjoy shipping in One Piece. Here's a breakdown of why, by character: Merry/Sunny: Yes, I write the ships as people, but guys, they're ships. They're built of wood and metal. They might have spirits, but purely biologically, they're not alive. They feel a lot of things, but not romantic love. The end. Luffy: is asexual. This is practically canon. Zoro: might be attracted to women (or men, what do I know?) but he will probably disregard it as an obstacle in his path to being the greatest. The man sleeps, eats, fights and trains. Romance is almost automatically out of character. Nami: Is probably attracted to men, but her paranoia from past traumas combined with her own enjoyment of using her sexuality to manipulate people stands in the way of her ever getting any romance going on. She's also stuck on a ship with a bunch of people she likes, but would not want to date, so there's that. Usopp: Now, this is my headcanon, but I like to think he's in love with Kaya, and seeing as she is stuck in East Blue, there won't be anything happening there for quite a while. Sanji: This guy is a hopeless romantic. He will never, ever score. Sorry Sanji. Chopper: is a reindeer. Unless they stop at a winter island with female reindeer sometime, he won't even have the chance to fall in love. He's also going to be hard pressed to find a viable romantic partner capable of matching his intellect. Robin: Wow. Yeah, she's way, waaay too paranoid to allow anyone to get that close. Also, knowing her, she could have met someone and gotten married on one of the islands and no one might even have noticed. But yeah, no. Franky: Uh... hell if I know. I'm just going to admit I don't understand this guy, okay? I really can't see him in a romantic relationship. He's incapable of being serious enough for long enough. Brook: Any ship with Brook is a crack-fic. That aside, I think I would enjoy him and Robin dancing in some dark, victorian ballroom. Still, the guy is 90 years old and a skeleton. Can I say ew?
