![]() Author has written 13 stories for Lord of the Rings, A song of Ice and Fire, X-Men: The Movie, Sharpe Series, and Game of Thrones. Gender: Male DoB: 1967 Personal Status: Married with 2 daughters Location: Greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area General Story Writing Status (8/9/19): Got another chapter of Sean Bean 3 out today. Plan for one more in SB3, much shorter than today's so shouldn't take as long to write, before I return to Charles. Still, I hope to get a Charles chapter out before the end of August. Though I must admit my creative juices, returning a bit at last, are getting a tad distracted with a new ASOIAF cross-over with another literary universe idea. Too many ideas, never enough time. Sigh. Oh, and for any interested, real life continues to suck. Maybe just not quite so hard. Cheers! High Plains Robert - The Inevitable ASOIAF SI (Act One): After doing it to Sean Bean, an SI into Westeros seemed the next logical step, didn't it? Let's see what very flawed ME can do inhabiting Fat Robert's body at the very start of Book 1. (Story complete) High Plains Robert - The Inevitable ASOIAF SI (Act Two): Well, HPRobert will have to return to King's Landing and deal with his Small Council as the plans he has already set in motion begin to mature. Beyond that, I have a few ideas in the wider world as butterflies start to extend their wings and flap. (Story planned) Sean Bean Saves Westeros - Book 1: Sean Lends a Hand: Very happy that Sean Bean Saves Westeros won the 2015 Turtledove Award over at AlternateHistory.com for Best New ISOT! Also excited that a super fan of this story went and created a tvtropes page for it! Check it out: SeanBeanSavesWesteros. (Story complete) Sean Bean Saves Westeros - Book 2: Sean Wins by a Nose: Sean's adventures in the mad, mad, mad world of Westeros continue! Let's see how not Ned handles a new set of challenges confronting him in King's Landing and whether like in Book 1, he gets the title dropped on him. (Story complete) Sean Bean Saves Westeros - Book 3: Sean Hits the Wall: Will Sean be bitter at the latest personal set backs mixed in with his Westeros altering triumphs? Did he go full book Tyrion or only show Tyrion in the nose department? How much of an impact will this have on his desire to give a crap about saving Westeros? Stay tuned! (Story in progress) Sean Bean Saves Westeros - Book 4: The Winter of Sean's Discontent: Assuming Sean survives Book 3 ... well, Winter is Coming! (Story planned) Charles Dance Saves Westeros: Can this actor do as well or better at "saving" than Sean Bean? Maybe, maybe not. Hopefully he can do it with less mutilation! (Story in progress) The Lioness Part 1: The Lioness Un-Antlered: Going back to early days in Robert's reign while he is still very much the Demon of the Trident and must marry for the good of the realm. What could go worse than the original sequence of events in this alternate retelling of Cersei becoming the Queen she was prophesized to be? (Story complete) The Lioness Part 2: The Lioness Boared: Well what happens next after "The Lioness Un-Antlered?" Does anyone want to find out? Its now 5 years later and the Greyjoy Rebellion is coming to a crushing conclusion. (Story complete) The Lioness Part 3: The Lioness Shackled: Follow Westeros from the years 290 through to 298, when the original ASOIAF story began. Cersei is stuck in the boondocks of the Westerlands. Will she remain there? Or will the Lioness break free of her chains? (Story complete) The Lioness Part 4: The Lioness in Autumn: (Story planned) The Lioness Part 5: The Lioness in Winter: (Story planned) The Lioness Part 6: The Lioness in the Storm: (Story planned) The Lioness Part 7: The Lioness Pride: (Story planned) The Seven's Days of Harrenhal: Going back in time to do an AU about what started the whole ASOIAF saga. (Currently on hiatus) The Misplaced Rifles: Taking my very evident Sean Bean fixation in a completely different direction. Sharpe, welcome to Videssos. (Currently on hiatus) A Legion for Westeros: The story opens about two thirds of the way through the "A Game of Thrones" novel and involves a Roman Legion mysteriously transplanted into the Kingswood saving King Robert's life. What butterfly effects will this unleash on Westeros? Nothing good of course, this is freaking Westeros after all! (Currently on hiatus) Lohgun: The Badger of the North: This one is an X-Men/Wolverine (with amnesia) and ASOIAF crossover. The story is being told in two separate timelines with the chapters alternating between the two. The first timeline goes further and further back in time to tell of Wolverine's involvement with the Starks, the Greyjoy Rebellion, Robert's Rebellion, the Night's Watch, and eventually how and why he appeared in Westeros north of the Wall. The second timeline move ahead in time to detail how Wolverine aids the Young Wolf in the War of the Five Kings. (Currently on hiatus) LOTR X-(wo)men Style: A Mutant Fellowship: A few years ago I cajoled my wife into reading LOTR. She pointed out to me that the story seriously lacks female characters. I realized she was completely correct, and here I was the father of two girls. So one thing led to another and I wrote my very first story that introduced four very unusual and very strong women to Middle Earth. (Story complete) LOTR X-(wo)men Style: "Part 2 - Untitled": Some day I will continue the adventures of the X-(wo)men in Middle Earth. Hopefully sometime in 2020. (Story planned) Other thoughts for timelines brewing in my brain, if only I had enough time: - Sir Harry Flashman arrives in Barsoom, making for a very different sort of Warlord of Mars. - ASOIAF, Sean Beans everywhere. Some of Sean's most famous characters arrive in Westeros. Boromir, Odysseus, Sean Miller, Alec Trevelyan, etc. - An AU ASOIAF story of Tyrion and Brienne's arranged marriage. - A Harry Potter/ASOIAF cross-over where Harry finds himself inserted into Podrick Payne and Draco into Viserys Targaryen. |
