Written in response to a challenge from AllegoriesInMediasRes. Anne Boleyn's future is in doubt as she recovers from another miscarriage, and it looks likely that her marriage is doomed to fail. But then a shocking accident changes everything, and suddenly Anne faces an entirely new set of challenges.

AU to S2E18, the episode "Lady in Waiting". Anne Boleyn finds King Henry kissing Jane Seymour who is sitting in his lap, but her shock and grief do not lead to a miscarriage. Finally, she gives birth to a healthy son. Yet, the happiness she yearned to have as Henry's wife and queen is elusive. The king's love leaves her hollow.

Guy and Meg met when Marian rejected him at the altar. Affections blossomed swiftly, until Marian decides to gives Guy a second look. Meg, is not going to give him up without a fight. And then...there's Robin Hood to deal with and her uncle. As the two of them sort out their emotions, Guy is forced to chose which side he belongs on. She never asked him to change, but he wants to.

When he first saw her, she was chained up like a slave, but unlike slaves, she refused to let herself be broken in. On a whim, Guy of Gisbourne buys Megan Bennett, for his personal amusement. Meg, refuses to acknowledge Guy's ownership over her. They both have a darkness in their hearts. Can they find their way out of the dark together to realize how much they need each other?

Having been officially declared dead but having survived his grave wound, Robin returns to England only to discover that King Richard disappeared on the way from Acre. Picks up when season 3 leaves off, with a few changes. After defeating Vaisey, Robin is ready to finally join his wife in the afterlife. Or at least that's what he thinks, until familiar faces return with incredible news.

The head-spinning events happen in Acre, the dark mysteries of the past are unmasked, and dramatic reconciliation is achieved.
