![]() Author has written 9 stories for Warriors, Twilight, and Neverwinter Nights. Update (5/23/09): I am now in the process of rewriting my entire profile page. Please note that I am no longer a mad fan of certain books or fandoms - see Updates on Fanfictions for more information. My casual writing style has matured somewhat, and is no longer so casual...I'm probably more of a fan of angst, now. Basic Statistics My name is Jacqueline Willson - the "Willard" was previously used to deter potential Internet predators, but I no longer feel such a need for caution. I prefer to be known as Jake, since Jacqueline seems, to me at least, overly feminine. I am obviously a female and less obviously Asian-American, with short dark brown hair and similarly colored eyes which many people perceive as black, despite my protests. I belong to the sub-category known as Goth and dress accordingly, though now that the weather is getting warmer, I may have to change those habits. I am an animist, partially Wiccan, D&D fanatic - particularly Neverwinter Nights and its various expansion packs - and my greatest fear is silence, closely followed by ants. Updates on Fanfictions As mentioned in the update at the top of this page, I am no longer a mad fan of Warriors or Twilight, and my fanfictions on both those fandoms are, as of now, discontinued unless one of two things happens: the muse becomes particularly persistent, or enough people petition me to continue one or two stories. The stories will remain up in their incomplete status if anyone wants to read them; they include Promise, It Will End in Blood, Distant Wingbeats, Tanglefur's Loyalty, and Mirror Image. I am now focusing on Left Unsaid, a fanfiction for Neverwinter Nights, and may start another story if the muse prompts me to do so. What Happened to Fyrewing? Fyrewing was run over by a steam engine and stuffed down a chimney. No, only joking...I am planning to change my pen name in the near future, since I no longer write fanfictions for Warriors, as soon as a suitable one occurs to me. I'm not sure what happened regarding my disillusionment with Warriors and Twilight; please understand that I do not dislike either of them, and neither do I harbor any hostility whatsoever toward their fans. Enough has changed in my life that I'm beginning to move on to different topics and different obsessions. So What Happens Now? Oh, dear...it seems this is turning into somewhat of a FAQ. Now I plan to focus on my Neverwinter Nights fanfiction, Left Unsaid, and my original fictions, one of which can be found over on Fictionpress under the pen name Firewing's Fourm. (Please note that "Fourm" is spelled that way intentionally and is not a typo.) If enough people petition me to continue any of my abandoned fanfictions, I probably will to appease the crowd, but the muse has turned to bigger and hopefully better things. Neverwinter Nights... ...is one of the most excellent D&D RPGs on this planet. And before anyone asks, no, I most certainly do not have a certain tiefling's initials penned in the palm of my left hand, or a tana'ari tail sketched in Sharpie on my wrist. Nor do I have a penchant for angsty weapon masters in spiky green armor. No, you're thinking of someone else entirely... My NWN PC I have several. The first one I ever made was an elfin female named Fyrestarr Paladinian who mysteriously disappeared in the sewers of Luskan after I accidentally deleted my one savegame. I restarted the OC with a male PC and managed to get through the first chapter before my laptop contracted a virus and promptly committed suicide. Some months afterward I acquired another laptop and actually finished the entire OC with Catharine Rainier, a half-elf druid who fell wildly in love with Aarin Gend and headed back to Faerun for a happily ever after in the arms of her beloved after slaying Morag. Left Unsaid is what actually happened after she stepped through the portal in the Astral Pocket. I had just started SoU with good old Cath as my PC when Fate decided yet again that I could not be permitted to play NWN and crashed my laptop, silencing it for good - all of this happening a few measly weeks after I'd bought the dem'd thing in the first place. What can I say...I really, truly repel technology. In the meantime, I created a pen-and-paper PC called Renaji Bladesinger. Her various stats exist below. Name: Renaji "Ren" Bladesinger That said, I am fervently looking forward to yet another laptop in the future, and yet another replay of the OC - although perhaps I will play SoU and HotU first. Hopefully the new laptop will not be utter hand-me-down crap like the other two. Other Methods of Entertainment I enjoy music, to say the least. My favorite band at the moment is Within Temptation, and my favorite genre gothic hard rock, though I enjoy all genres excepting rap and hip-hop. My biggest hobby is and always will be writing both original and fanfiction, though I won't have much time in the near future, since I am entering freshman year in high school this autumn. I am not what anyone would consider a sporty individual, but I do play volleyball and basketball in their respective seasons, and I'm fairly good at badminton. As for movies, I enjoy most of the not-so-classic classics, such as Titanic and Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as the action/fantasy/thrillers including Underworld, Blade, and Van Helsing. Note: My profile is still under construction, so expect updates in the near future... |
