Rory is delayed in getting home for the weekend of the Firelight Festival, and Luke is being even more stubborn than usual, leaving Lorelai with a big decision - does she really hate Jess enough to let him freeze to death in his car? The choice she makes could change everything.

He knows exactly what Rory needs. She needs someone who will be there when she wants it. Someone to scratch an itch. While he's probably always going to be a little in love with her, he knows he can live with that. For once, Jess is absolutely, without any doubt, positive he can give her what she needs.

When Rory returns from the campaign trail she seizes an opportunity to work in Europe as a freelance travel writer. Meanwhile Jess has become a famous novelist, with the first feature film in his book trilogy premiering soon. Jess is on Rory's mind more than she wants to admit, no matter the distance - or oceans - between them.

Literati. Set in present day, eight and a half years after the Truncheon kiss, Rory and Jess are unexpectedly reunited in Stars Hollow after Rory impulsively sends Jess an invitation to her wedding. When the wedding is suddenly postponed and Rory moves to New York, they are left with eight and a half years of suppressed feelings and only one outlet: each-other. COMPLETE.

Rory just wanted a night alone to do laundry, with her mother gone that had been the plan. She hadn't counted on Paris to show up needing to study. She hadn't expected Jess to show up with food. But what would have happened if Paris left before Dean showed up with ice cream. One small moment could affect her entire life. Follow Rory from that fateful dinner to the end of it all.
