Favourite games in no particular order:

The Golden Sun triology (Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age & Golden Sun: Dark Dawn) - Amazing story, amazing characters and amazing gameplay. Actually bought a 3ds just for playing Dark Dawn and to be prepared for the rumored fourth game of the franchise.

Mass Effect 1 & 2 (looking forward to the third!) - Again, the story is kickass, the characters are kickass and the gameplay is kickass. This is the franchise that got me into reading fanfiction in the first place.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Beats OoT any day! The story was so heart-warming while still being even more threatening than in most Zelda games. There was a sense of doom over the whole game, and constantly replaying the three days in order to explore the depths of every character in the game made it a very touching experience.

Sid Meier's Civilization V - Best strategy game I've ever played. I'm currently sitting at over 700 hours play time according to Steam, so yeah, it's pretty damn addictive. Well worth its price tag considering how much enjoyment you can squeeze out of the game.

Final Fantasy VII & Final Fantasy X - I've always loved RPG games, so naturally I like Final Fantasy. I'm kind of ashamed of myself for not having played FFVI which many claim is the best in the series, so at least for now VII and X are my favourites. I know VII has been loved to death and then some, but seriously, it is just that good.

Red Dead Redemption - I did NOT expect myself to love this game as much as I did, but I mean... Just... Wow! This is easily my favorite Xbox 360 game along with the Mass Effect games. The story is awesome, the gameplay is spectacular and it's one of the few games that had me in tears at some points, and this is from the same studio that made the GTA games!!!

Favourite books and novels in no particular order:

"The Chronicles of Amber" (10 novels) by Roger Zelazny - Probably the best fantasy series I've ever read. Zelazny's style of writing is amazing. His characters are really complex while still acting in a way that is purely stereotypical. This makes for some seriously intense moments. Another thing that helps is of course that the whole premise of the novels is awe-inspiring. How could anyone come up with this stuff and make it so damn plausible?

"The Foundation triology" by Isaac Asimov (the fourth and fifth books in the same series are also great, but not as good as the original triology) - Really fascinating Science Fiction. Asimov is mostly known for his stories revolving around robots, but this series is, in my opinion, his masterpiece. It tells a story that spans hundreds of years from a dozen different characters points of view. It manages to be just as much a study of how society develops as it is a character-driven story.

"A Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole - You don't know whether to laugh or cry at this one. It is easily the best novel I've ever read that does not fall into the fantasy/sci-fi categories. The sad part is that J.K. Toole committed suicide shortly after finishing this novel, it was his first and last. Amazingly, his mother got a publisher to print and sell it after her son's death and for that she has my eternal gratitude. This book is the funniest I've ever read, while also being the most tragic. It's weird, it's completely insane and it's a masterpiece.

All of the Dan Brown novels - As much as I want to say I dislike Brown's habit of constantly constructing his novels in the exact same pattern as his others, I can't deny I love reading them. The language is fast-paced, as is the story. Perfect novels for when you wanna kill time as there's not a chance in hell you can put them down after you've opened them. Once, I actually skipped school when I was younger to finish reading The Da Vinci Code.
