Ahh...profiles and I have a love hate relationship. I love to fill them out, but I hate trying to figure out what I should put.
Ehhh...since this is is a fanfiction archival site, I'll start off along the vein of fanfiction...

Genre Love:

Angst - yeah I'm an angst whore. But don't get me wrong, a story about kids griping because their not allowed to get out and do what they want isn't gonna cut it. Most, if all, of the angst stories I'm gonna read will be about Abuse (of all forms, mental, psychological, physical, and sexual) and the (realistic) effects and outcomes of such behavior. Psychological and Mental Disorders also belong here. If it's depression, anxiety, and other such things...gimme.
"But why?"you ask? - Well do you want the sane answer or the truth? My sane answer would probably be something about character development, and I love to see my favorite characters get better. The truthful answer is...I like to see characters in situations that most of the world is afraid to even think about. Child abuse happens, rape happens, depression is real and it's effects aren't just a poetic little sit around and cries, and drawing emotional art and all that emo crap that's out there today.
"But still, why?" I'm sure you ask. Well, if we get down to the nitty and gritty about it, I'm looking for the truth. That being said, I hardly find it, though it get's damn close. Maybe it's a sick and disgusting sort of envy I have for the characters...how they're able to be in those situations and still stay pure-hearted, how they find someone to confide in, rescue them, and overall make them better. It's fantasizing, and I want to be them. But at the end of the day it's just fantasy, not all abuse is found out, not everyone has a rescuer come for them, not everyone gets better, and not all abuse stops. Not all abuse is so damn shortlived, and not all depression is come out of so cleanly.

Romance - This one should be self-explanatory. It's nearly everywhere on this site so I know a decent amount of readers and writers here can understand. As for my why...well the same as above, though I'm not going into a rant like I did. it's fantasizing, again. I want to read about what the feelings feel like, without having to go through the trouble of meeting all the wrong people. It's my own sick and disgusting sort of envy.

If I ever write a fic it will probably be angst. It will probably contain that quote up there. But as of right now I have nothing I've written, save this profile. Ahh well it was fun while it lasted. =)
