Hi all! I'm a girl going on her 25th year on this earth. At the moment (and for the past 2-3 years) I'm more or less obsessed with Harry/Draco-fanfics. I can't stop reading, honestly... My studies are sooo suffering from this, among other things ;) I've published two fics of my own over on Hex, under the same pen-name. I must warn you, though! My writing isn't what it used to be, unfortunately, since it's been quite a while since I had the proper time to really devote time for that. But I'm slowly working my way back to my past form! I used to read and write lots of LoTR-fics, but that was, as you can probably imagine, quite some time ago (although, I have to point out that I had never delt with fanfiction, at least online, until I was over 18). I can come across as harsh sometimes in my reviews, but I honestly don't mean to put anybody down. We all have different styles of writing and expressing ourselves. The only thing that I can't handle is an abuse of the English language (as it makes me loose my concentration). Of course, intelligent people can still read and understand spelling and wording errors, but when they get to frequent, I just loose interest in the fic. So, please, please, everyone who's posting out there; find a beta to read through your work! It will cause you an unnecessary loss of readers if you don't! I would gladly do it, if only I was a native English speaker... And I'm betting that this profile has tons of spelling errors in it ;D Anyway, my point is; even the most experienced writer makes errors! So, thanks for stopping by, and feel free to vent your oppinions with me, if you have any! |
