In her mid-20's Chihiro remembers her childhood adventures as the imaginings of a troubled girl, used as a means of coping& uses these characters - esp. imaginary friend Haku- to create a literary world to help others. What happens though when she's introduced to Ko, who she instinctively seems to know? & why does she feel like she isn't remembering something? Something important?
