Book 1 of the Olde series. Renna and her twin little brother and sister, Tanyo and Tanyi, have to survive in the harsh world around them after their parents are killed in a flood. While fulfilling her parents' dying wish she finds a fox cub which she has a strange connection to... This does tie into Torak, Renn and Wolf by the way, just not until later. So no spoilers! :)

After the sudden death of her father, Torak, Loviti takes Pebble , Wolf's only remaining cub, and runs away under the instructions of her terrified mother, Renn. Taking her beloved bow, well-worn knife and Pebble by her side, she runs from a member of kin seeking revenge. With the help of her new-found friend, Talu, they find out Torak wasn't as open about his past as they thought.
