Author has written 2 stories for Warcraft. Many of you are probably wondering who I am. Well in short, I am Elfpaladin. I know big surprise there. Here's a little bit of info you should probably know before either reading or continuing my fanfics. First off, I am a wowhead, though I didn't get an actual chance to begin playing until WOTLK came out. You could say that I'm more addicted to the stories and lore related to the Warcraft world than the actual games though. Yes, if left to my own devices, I will do more lore quests in World of Warcraft than raiding, though I love both. I am by no means a Loremaster though. I make a lot of mistakes lore-wise, though I do my best. A good portion of my Fic "A Tale of Two Elves" was being written and/or conceptualized before Arthas: Rise of the Lich King was released. While Christie Golden did an excellent job of writing Arthas' character and staying true to the lore set down by Warcraft 3 and it's expansion, I did not feel compelled to change around the events and character personalities in my budding fic, more tweak them to be a bit more closer to the lore now added to the cannon universe. I know a big question is who is Liselitha and how did it start? Liselitha is essentially myself, only sexier, elfin, and with a much harder past than I had. The story started to form when I was running around in the Eastern Plaguelands. I went through the Thalassian Pass back into the Ghostlands and essentially asked myself, "Where was I (Liselitha) when this all happened?" The answer was almost instantaneous, on the front lines confronting Arthas. And that was when I wrote the first paragraphs of this Fic. Soon other questions popped up, "When did Liselitha become a paladin? Did she know Arthas, or just know of him? Did she have any relatives?" Bits of information about my avatar began piecing themselves together and soon enough I had written a good portion of Liselitha's Past. But as I advanced in my playing, and began to enter the world of raiding, my thoughts turned to the events that were currently going on in the game. I began looking at my avatar's past and asking "Who in the World knows who Liselitha is?" The first would be Tirion Fordring. As a paladin and member of the Silver Hand, Tirion would have known who Uther was training. So I began writing conversations that Tirion and Liselitha might have. When i began writing a solid intro and first conversation between The Highlord and Liselitha, patch 3.2 came out and my raiding career stopped abruptly for a short time. But it picked back up when I found a different raiding guild and my writing began on taking the tones of my new guild. The next person that came to mind would be Varian Wrynn. Personally, I hate the man, I also hate Garrosh and wish Blizzard would give us a third party affiliation that would be available to players of a certain level, but that is never going to happen. It was well known in lore before Christie Golden's book that Varian Wrynn had been a refugee in Lordaeron, The fact that my character and him were in the same place, they were bound to run into each other. |
