There's an old Starfire and a new Starfire. (I mean in the show, not comic-vs-book)

New-Starfire was created when Mary-Sue fans recognized old-Starfire's qualities (beautiful, sweet, dumb, naive, innocent, a bit immature, perky) were potential Mary-Sue characteristics.

New-Starfire sucks. Starfire thinks she's so great. In the show, she's always getting mad at people, more than anyone else. This says, "Hey, I'm perfect, you aren't. So I have every right to be mad at you." So another quality is narcissism. But suddenly, her fans didn't want her to be narcissistic! So the show, to make sure the Starfire-fans would watch, made her "sweet". She's extremely dependent on everyone around her. But the Starfire Comittee didn't want that either! So they made her "strong" with the ability to do anything. Notice she's practically always the one saving the day. What a Mary-Sue. This, they want. Since she is "perfect" Starfire should rule the world. When she doesn't, she gets mad. Blackfire gets some attention, and she's jealous.

Conclusion: New-Starfire has histrionic personality disorder.
