Wow, it's been so long since I've logged in here... Unfortunately, this new year did not bring me the good tidings I'd been hoping for - my life has been a massive rollercoaster with a few more downs than ups and quite a number of flips that I never saw coming. I have been misplaced, abandoned, forgotten, and nearly pulled under by the weight of stress and worry, and for the longest while I couldn't see the fabled light at the end of the tunnel. I lost all whim and will for writing and this account lay forgotten; buried beneath things of far greater importance like feeding myself and staying afloat in the big bad world of being an adult. For those of you who don't know, at only twenty-one years old I have been homeless, broke, and without hope not once, but nearly twice. My supportive circle was nearly nonexistent and I had no one to lean on aside from my faithful adopted fur-child who could do no more for me than to love me with everything that he is. But while I was able to save him from his abusive past, he was unable to rescue me from a seemingly dark future. It took everything I had to keep food in our bellies and rarely did we have a safe shelter over our heads through the night, but we persevered and after what seemed an eternity, we finally prevailed.

Today we are happy and healthy with a roof over our heads and new companions to call friends and family, and with a stable home and a job that I love things are finally beginning to look up for us all. So my dear readers, I know that you have all probably given up hope on me due to my long absence from here, but I am back and I plan on overhauling my entire library with new content and updated stories. I have had dozens of little plot-bunnies bouncing about my head for ages like jackalopes on crack, and I am now finally able to let them run wild across the pages as they see fit. I also want to apologize, friends, for my long hiatus and general lack of inspiration, but I want you to know that every day I would think about the reviews and favorites I received in my inbox from you all and even on my darkest days it would put a smile on my face. In more ways than one, guys, you have all kept me going. So please, accept my apologies and my greatest thanks, and I hope that I can pay you back in kind by giving back to you as much as I am able.

Tortured Souls: This story is currently on hold. I apologize for everyone's wait, but lately I have been in and out of the hospital quite often, so it's been moved to the back burner. I hope to update soon though, so please keep an eye out.
