Oh my, where to start...

I guess a name would be an adequate start. My name is Jessa and guess what? I love to write (No way right? Who knew..) I mostly work on original works, but I honestly love putting my OCs into animes and such (P.S. The fact that J.R. Ward asked us not to use her characters is very depressing. I love her Black Dagger Brotherhood and would kill to rewrite V's story.) It is almost like a test run for my original characters, to see how they stand up against the tried-and-true characters of timeless stories like Yu Yu Hakusho and Dragon Ball Z.

My writing, just like for some of you, is an escape. I can curl up with my laptop and delve into a world of adventure, heroics and the paranormal world we all secretly hope exists somewhere in the universe. (Seriously, how many of you Don't dream of that guy or girl who is secretly something paranormal, just so you can be awesome and not flip out and chase them around with a frying pan like everyone else would??)

More often than not, my characters develop themselves, there are times I feel more like a vessel, rather than a creator, in which these characters gain a chance to tell their story through me. Trust me, I get mad at my characters when they make stupid mistakes too, but to undo them wouldn't do the characters justice. I have been known to stop writing for a character for a day or two, Just because I am mad at them though. So be prepared for that.

A lot of the time, I write to a playlist. A set of specific songs that put me in certain moods. For instance, my battle-scene-playlist includes songs such as "Bodies" by Drowning Pool, "Indestructible" by Disturbed and "Critical Acclaim" by Avenged Seven-Fold (they make quite an appearance in my playlist with a few songs, as does Disturbed and Linkin Park.) At some point, I would like to put in an Author's Note on each chapter, with a list of songs that played as I wrote.

I could get into the things I like to do on the side, such as draw, play video games, offroad, sing, dance, and act, but honestly, there is too much and honestly, I'd like to keep it to writing for this, since this is a writer's website.
