Hi! My name is Ashley. I'm twenty-five years old and currently reside in Kansas.

I just recently started writing fanfiction, but have been an avid reader for years. JAG was the first tv show I ever read fanfiction for and I have been obsessed ever since. Fanfiction just happens to combine two of my favorite things ever - reading and television!

I have this habit of getting addicted to things and becoming obsessed with them for awhile and then forgetting about them until I discover them again. My father calls me a know-it-all. I drink Diet Coke obsessively. I love NASCAR (I heart Junior). I like college football and basketball (GO CYCLONES!). I'm a diehard Packer fan. Brett Favre I love you, but you broke my heart when you left the Packers. You broke it even more when you rubbed your victory over the Packers with the Vikings in during your post-game interview. You stomped on my heart. I'm addicted to soap operas(mainly General Hospital right now). I love to watch TV; in fact I don't think I should love TV as much as I do. I love new clothes, but I hate to shop for them. Someday when I'm rich and famous I'm going to hire a personal shopper. I love to learn about pretty much everything. I love to go dancing! I love sappy romantic movies and I tend to watch the same movies over and over again. I admit I've cried at a Budweiser commercial. I want to travel all over the world, especially to Europe and the Middle East. I want to go back to school and get my Master's degree and maybe eventually my PhD.

I'm generally a happy, optimistic person. I like to think I'm realistic, but I'm probably actually more idealistic. I've been told I'm a great listener and I'm always up for having some fun.

Favorite TV Shows: Gilmore Girls (Of course!), Smallville, NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, Eureka, Stargate SG-1, Army Wives, House, and Fringe, Glee (Seriously if you haven't seen this show you are most definitely missing out!)

Favorite Books: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, Wicked by Gregory Maguire, Harry Potter, Eragon & Eldest by Christopher Paolini, A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson

What I'm Currently Reading: Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (third reading), Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (my first Austen, for shame!), and A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers (My mother calls me a schizophernic reader, but I just tell her I need a book for all my moods. I seriously have a list of about 300 books on my reading list right now and I keep adding to it! Yikes!)

Favorite Music: Shinedown, Lifehouse, Jeremy Camp, Shelter Belt, Timbaland, OneRepublic, Akon, Justin Timberlake (I know, I know, throw rocks at me...there is just something about his voice. It's very rare that a guy has such an amazing falsetto.), Trading Yesterday, David Cook, Ne-Yo, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Rob Thomas and my newest discovery Ahn Trio (My music collection is quite extensive. This is pretty much the tip of the iceberg!)

Favorite Movies: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, anything by the brilliant Kevin Smith (Clerks & Chasing Amy being my favorites), Wedding Crashers (Vince Vaughan seriously has great comedic timing), The Day After Tomorrow (don't ask me why, maybe it's the combination of Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhal), Mean Girls (Watch it! Lindsay Lohan's last good role and a brilliant social commentary), National Treasure (hated Nicholas Cage until I saw this movie), and I really love to watch ridiculous TV movies...they are endlessly mockable and pure entertainment.

Pet Peeves/Things I Don't Like: Channel surfing, crumbs on the counter, horrible spelling, grammar, and punctuation, bad drivers, ignorance, rude people, overplayed good music, and even worse overplayed bad music

So, yeah, that's a little bit about me. I'm mostly just a nerd and proud of it!
