A lot of people have asked me if I were shipwrecked, and could only have one book, what would it be? I always say 'How to build a boat." Ha. Don't you just wish that there was a knob on the T.V to turn up the intelligence? There's one marked "Brightness " but that doesn't work.

Where Did We Go Right? (name subject to change)

This isn't just a story, but a series of stories, starting back in Mama Egypt, little China, and Rome's days and ending in Modern times. Questions is... How do you begin something as crazy as this? Not to mention all the hours of studying. Ugh. Oh well, at least I'm learning something, which is more than I can say for my History classes. Anyways, the first one in the line up is "Long, Long Ago..." Colonial Disputes will be a part of it, as will Mad World.

It's a Mad, Mad World

France just doesn't seem right these days. He's twitchy, paranoid, he randomly throws himself into fits of rage - for absolutely no bloody reason at all! Every nation goes a little nuts when their people are in turmoil, but the French Revolution takes France's madness to new heights. It's all America's fault, blast it! Hinted FrUK/USUK, the entire Dysfunctional Family mayhem, perhaps with others... Direct sequel to Inde-bloody-pendance.

I'm gonna need to get all my facts straight before I jump into this. Fairly dark and angsty, though not so much as Stranger Than Fiction. Will probably last till the end of Napoleon's Empire. How to end it, though?

I Can't Decide

I was listening to a song with the same name that was freaking awesome and somehow got it in my head to do a huge CIA/SIS vs. Mafia/Bratva/Triad fic. Al's not necessarily the MC, but he leads into everything.

The Hero Type

Say You do something really good - like save a guy's life, and everybody thinks you're a hero. But the whole reason you were there in the first place, at the right place to save him at the right time, was totally messed up! Then let's say you stand up for something you believe in, but everyone tinks you're wrong and hates you for it. How do you know if you're a hero, or a zero?

An Idea I'm currently toying with. Inspired by a book summary I've read, I haven't read the actual book yet, and several songs like You Could Be a Hero, and Hero and Monster by Skillet. Your Fairy Tale

I'm trying to organize this idea as best I can, but it doesn't have a summary yet. Basically, take about half of the Fairy Tales you've ever heard, put Hetalia names to them, and interlace (I love that word) them together as closely as possible. Such as... Little Red Rapunzel Liechtenstein, Prince Wolf Charming Francis, Cinderella of the Seven Dwarfs Arthur, and so on. My usual POTs will be shipped, of course, along with a couple of awesome crack pairings. Rated K+?

OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense,who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
