UPDATE (4/19/2015): I apologize for my absence this past year, but real life waits for no one -especially undergraduate students. I highly doubt many of you will see this little message, but I wanted you to know that my sweet Kit passed away on December 23, 2014. She was the best part of me and it was an honor, privilege, and undeserved blessing to have been her human. She was so gracious to allow me to use her name as my pseudonym and she was my constant companion as I wrote the majority of the stories below. . . . writing: I am an NCIS fan. I like to fill in the blanks of what we didn’t see onscreen and fix the places the writers messed up. I ship Tony and Ziva. Yep. I do. And I love them, together, apart, but mostly together. I love their characterization, the complexity, and I think it’s fun to crawl into their heads.

. . . language: I have been known to curse on occasion –but never every other word I utter. I do, however, draw the line at the ‘s’ word and the ‘f’ word -you will never ever find an f-bomb anywhere amongst these pages. Nor will you find anything M-rated, there may be slight allusions, but essentially no blatant sex scenes -though most definitely unresolved sexual tension because, afterall, you cannot have Tony and Ziva and no unresolved sexual tension.

. . . sexual orientation: I do not write slash and I do not read slash. I, personally, am heterosexual, however I find nothing wrong with homo- or bisexual orientations. I am merely human, and therefore fallible, and I feel that I have absolutely no right to condemn another human for whom they chose to love. There is enough hatred and animosity in this world; bring on the love.

. . . reviews: I love reviews. Seriously. I’ve had reviews that have made my day. But I will not beg for them, or barter for them by refusing to update until X amount of reviews are submitted. I humbly accept any and all constructive criticism. I will tell you upfront that I am terrible –absolutely terrible- at responding to reviews personally. I cannot express the depth of appreciation I have for this community and the support I’ve received. So here is my (woefully inadequate) THANK YOU!!! Every reviewer -every reader actually- receives a cyber-hug. Seriously, I am hugging you all in my mind right now.

. . . movie things that rock: Harry Potter and Star Wars (Han and Leia . . . ‘nough said)

. . . paper things that rock: Harry Potter (of course); anything by Sarah Dessen (The Truth About Forever) and Deb Calletti (Honey, Baby, Sweetheart and the Secret Life Of Prince Charming); the Inheritance Cycle (Paolini)

. . . hobbies: I paint, I draw, I listen to music, I read, and I play the cello. Oh. And I write. I write a lot.

. . . pet peeves: Ignorance, poor spelling/grammer, people who have no concept of traffic laws, and politics. And stupid people (read: Snooki and Justin Beiber).

. . . love: I am a hopeless romantic, though, ‘hopeless’ is a bit of misnomer. I don’t think I believe in soul mates, but I do believe in broken hearts, and I most definitely believe there is somebody out there for everybody. And I know that my somebody is looking for me just as hard as I’m looking for him.

. . . religion: I believe in Jesus and karma. And some other things.

. . . Kit: Kit, the actual Kit who so kindly allowed me to borrow her name for my pseudonym, is my nine-year-old, 25 pound (yes, you read that right: 25 pounds) calico cat. Her hobbies include sleeping inappropriate places (clean clothing, my cello case, my hands), eating, shoes, sleeping, shedding, and sleeping. She also does occasional pilates. And the Charleston, but only when I’m not looking.

I enjoy weaving Hebrew into my stories as it is such a pretty language. However, I do not speak a word of it and if I completely butcher something or have the wrong phrase, let me know and perhaps we can figure out how to fix it.
