General

1. I like writing drabbles. Why? They're short. Very short. What is a drabble? It's a story that consists of exactly one-hundred words. Writing drabbles can be challenging because you have to trim things down so that the story has exactly one-hundred words long, but that's where the fun is.

2. Some of my works are philosophical. Examples include Flaws (humankind is flawed), Poison of Life (vengeance yields nothing good), and Mutual Affection (inspired by the ethical issues of euthanasia).

3. Descriptions and metaphors are my weaknesses in writing. Pacing isn't my forte either.

Chrono Cross

Have you ever asked why Guile is portrayed as different people in my Chrono Cross stories? It's because he has no real identity in the actual game, and the speculations about him are just fun to be played with.

One of my reviewers has ever mentioned that he is a wild card for fanfic authors, so I have written him as Magus/Janus (related to Chrono Trigger, see below), a retired doctor, and a flawed magician. More may be coming soon!

Guile is rather underdeveloped in the canon and his characterization is hard to be done. If you want to write a story about Guile (whether he's Magus or not), you may check this link to read about his characterization. This has been researched with numerous studies about Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Four Temperaments, and Enneagram of Personality for the references.

Gungrave

My recent fandom is Gungrave (anime-verse). Despite its flaws, it's currently my most favorite anime because of its philosophical value and symbolism, coming-of-age nature, and platonic relationship between characters.

From my stories, it's easy to know that my favorite character is Brandon 'Beyond the Grave' Heat, the street thug who later becomes a badass (undead) hitman who may be a quiet, heartless killer outside, but is incredibly gentle, selfless, and loyal inside. I am also an avid Brandon x Maria and Brandon (Grave) x Mika shipper. The latter is often portrayed as father-daughter relationship.

Do you know?

1. Some of my Gungrave works are interconnected to each other, for example (in chronological order of the content): Family, The Loving Girl, and Mutual Affection.
2. Family is a combination of four abandoned and unpublished ficlets about Brandon (Grave) and Mika doing some mundane stuff.
3. Mutual Affection is inspired by the ethical issues of euthanasia. Its title was once planned to be Ownership of Life, which referred to the right of taking people's lives. There are three versions of this work, in which two of them are abandoned documents.
4. A Complete, yet Imperfect Life (formerly titled In-between Good and Evil) is considered as my strangest and most ambiguous work because of the number of subtle and implied themes. Angsty and implicitly tragic. Sort of written while I'm drunk.
5. Some concepts from Family, Mutual Affection, and most of my unpublished Gungrave works reappear in Betray Me Not. Similar to Mutual Affection, this takes place after the anime canon with the assumption: Brandon/Grave survives the finale. This uses various subtle details in the anime (elaborated in the footnotes of each chapter) and contains some references to Lilo & Stitch.
6. Betray Me Not has three versions, in which the first and the third versions are discarded drafts. The first is more lighthearted and emphasizes on the scientific aspects of a Necrolyzer. The third version uses impmontamer03's theory about Brandon's fate in the finale, resulted from his deduction of the series' definition of family. All of them still carry the show's theme of betrayal and stitches are still symbolic (especially the ones on Brandon's leg).
7. Phantom Limb will be rehashed into my upcoming work, Rehabilitation. Some concepts from my previous works will reappear. Just dropped Rehabilitation, but the concepts reappear in the one-shot sequel to Betray Me Not, Worth.
   
8. Condensed Betray Me Not series into Gungrave: Aftermath series. Overdose universe is considered non-canon. After all, Gungrave anime takes a different continuity from the game universe.

Since my recent works are all related to Gungrave (anime-verse), I'll list the terms you need to know if you're fandom blind:

Yules - The currency in Gungrave universe.

West District - The slum where Brandon and Harry live during their teenage years. Some sources use 'Desolation Alley'.

Millennion - The biggest mafia organization in Gungrave universe. It was built by Big Daddy to protect the people he loved. It was later led by Harry, whose autocratic behavior went against Big Daddy's regime and wasn't well-liked by the majority of the organization's members. After Harry's downfall, it was led by Biscoe, who presumably went by Big Daddy's regime.

Sweeper - Another term for hitman.

Family - A term for the members of Big Daddy's inner circle in Millennion. Family also refers to Millennion as a whole. However, according to Gary and Widge, Family is a bond that exists between people as long as they don't betray each other. Mika learns the definition from Gary and Widge, but later, her definition of family is more like nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten, depending on the interpretation of the anime's ending.

Code of Iron - "Traitors must be punished with death." This code was developed by Big Daddy to preserve the harmony within Millennion.

Overkill - Bear's elite sweeper squad in Millennion.

True Grave - Brandon's elite sweeper squad in Millennion. It was later renamed as The Kugashira Group by Bunji, who took over the squad after Brandon's death.

Necrolyze/Necrolyzation - The process of reanimating corpses. Developed by Dr. Tokioka.

Necrolyzer - The initial product of necrolyzation. A necrolyzer has immense strength, endurance, and immunity to bullets (unless they are custom-made like the anti-necrolyze or large caliber bullets). A necrolyzer doesn't need to eat, but it must have its blood refreshed regularly; otherwise, it will dry up, decay, and finally crumble to dust. Dr. Tokioka regards necrolyzers as mindless tools of destruction. The exception is Brandon; with his immense loyalty and Mika's existence, he turns out to be gentle unlike other necrolyzers.

D-Point - A large caliber pistol that looks like a .475 Wildey. Brandon once uses this to incapacitate necrolyzers, but due to the strong recoil, he ends up injuring his arm.

Orgman - Stands for 'Re-organized Man.' The later product of necrolyzation. They cannot think on their own, since the creator's commands are programmed into them before their activation. Developed by Laguna Glock.

Superior - Orgman with a mind of its own. They are much stronger than orgmen.

Beyond the Grave (Grave) - Brandon's alias after undergoing necrolyzation. He earned this alias from Dr. Tokioka because he still tried to protect the organization even after death. Before dying, Brandon had asked Dr. Tokioka to necrolyze his corpse in case he died and deliver his letter to Big Daddy, which gave Big Daddy the authority to summon him when needed. In other words, Brandon's loyalty and desire to protect literally go beyond the grave. However, Mika chooses to call him 'Brandon' instead of 'Grave' near the finale, probably because she feels closer to him this way.

Cerberus - Grave's twin handguns. The name comes from the three-headed dog in Greek mythology, since there are actually three guns in Cerberus series (as revealed in the game universe): Left Head, Right Head, and Center Head. Grave uses Left Head and Right Head in both anime and games, while Center Head belongs to Fangoram in the second game. With 15mm caliber bullets as the ammo and 60 cm barrel length, these guns pack a punch.

Coffin - Grave's secondary weapon. It's a huge coffin-shaped case that contains various guns, including a missile launcher and a chaingun. In the second game, it's called Death Hauler.

The Trailer - A trailer that Dr. Tokioka uses to keep and sustain Grave's body. It contains various equipment and tools. Some sources say that it's destroyed after episode 22, but actually, it's still kept inside the warehouse where Grave and Mika live in. It's parked alongside Grave's motorcycle in episode 23.
