Vol 1 summary is;

A 16-year-old girl, Ayako Toushiro was having an ordinary life with her friends and family until a mysterious transferred student, Satoshi Hiroyuki, enters her life. They had a bad start since their greeting ...and one night Ayako was mysteriously attacked by creatures who are called 'Kodai' but was saved by a boy covered in shadows. She found out that Satoshi is actually a mage-in-training searching for his long lost sister and got involved. The two set out to find his sister as the walls of enemies grew wider and Satoshi learns his skills to become the 'True Sage'... and what's up with his little-cute-petite-fox Kodai?

Ancient are magical creatures summoned by their master from unforeseen dimension. There are five elements to which the Ancient possess; fire, water, wind, earth and void. And they're summoned according to their master's main affinity. But a magician who is able to call any one of the Legendary Ancient of the five elements are said to be called 'True Sage' and 'True Magic' is said when the master take full control over his own and Ancient's powers.

Overview (for now and it's only part of it XP);

When he arrives on Earth, Satoshi attends a high school, Mizuho High and meets Ayako Toushiro an ordinary girl who's ancestor ever been to the world of Riviera. They have a bad start in the beginning, because Satoshi calls her a tomboy which makes her angry and punches him right in the face. After school, in the evening, Ayako is walking on the way to her house until she thinks she is being followed. It turn out that it is a White Tiger, an Ancient apparently, and attacks her. But she is then saved by a mysterious young man, who is later revealed to be Satoshi though Ayako didn't know it was him at first and the next day, Ayako thinks things through and befriends him, but still remains her attitude of a tsundere towards him.

In a flashback. In an ancient timeline, Kai von Claus(Satoshi Hiroyuki) is the descendant of a famous 'True Sage', Falk von Voltaire. He has a little sister, later to be revealed as Illyasviel, whose powers are on par with Falk. His sister is a pure fire mage with potential magic powers, unlike Kai, whose a mix of Fire and Wind inherited from his parents. One night, his palace has been attacked and his sister has been kidnapped. They have been searching for her for ten years and still, nothing. Kai decides that he'll go to a place they haven't look in, Earth. So he runs away from home and goes to an Ancient Stone which transports him to Earth. Arriving on Earth, he starts living with other people he never met. He finds an apartment to live in and decides to enter a school. It is later revealed that he covers most of the expenses with the Earth's Japanese Yen made in Solace. The part of the story follows Satoshi's view when he arrives at Mizuho and his first meeting with Ayako.

Few months later, Ayako and Satoshi are seen on top of the school rooftop, waiting for their friends to arrive with the lunch; Miho Kaede, Minako Shimitsu, Saito Wakabayashi, Haruhi Sakakura, Takumi Takahara, Ryuuji Nobuyuki, Tsubaki Hotaru and Masahiro Shigure. As they are eating, they are talking about the rumors of the school; a roar and growl are heard throughout the night. Satoshi is shocked to hear this since he looked back to when the tiger attacked Ayako and wants to investigate himself, but Masahiro decides that they would like to do it. Satoshi lies that he has something to do tonight and follows them behind the shadows. The group searches everywhere around the school but they find nothing. Later, the white tiger that attacked Ayako appears and approaches them, only then Satoshi came to the rescue. But the tiger manages to escape and returns to his mater. Satoshi approaches him and ask questions regarding his sister. The man is reveals himself as Leo von Herrick, a member of a Balkan Organization with its purpose currently unknown. They then begin a short battle but is then stopped after Satoshi fires off a massive fireball but misses and Leo disappears. The group approaches Satoshi and ask who he is. He tries running away but is stopped by Ayako when she throws Saito at him, referring Saito as an 'object' to be thrown. Satoshi then reveals himself and explain his true identity in his apartment the next day.
