![]() Author has written 7 stories for Pitch Perfect, Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, Charmed, and Dirty Dancing. Hi. I'm new to writing on FanFiction. I have been reading it for months but I got a story in my head and this one was more persistent with a plot than the others so I created a profile. I plan to update often but I guess so does everyone but I will finish it. I normally write what comes to me rather than a full plan so we will see where it goes. So a little bit about me: I'm 18 and doing my A levels at sixth form. I plan to do Maths at uni in either Bath or York. As you may have guessed I live in the UK so if any of my language is different that is why I do my best to keep it fitting. You may also find a lack of swearing. I never swear in any form so it will not feature in any of my stories, so if it seems to be missing that is why. I also write books. I hope to one day publish them. I am currently writing about 20. I get an idea for a start and just go with it. I have finished one book. It took between 5 and 10 years to it just needs typing and tweaking now but it has for the last year. However I'm the only one benefiting from it so there is less incentive with my own books. The picture is of Bill; the zebra I knitted for my sister, she is 6 1/2 years older but still. Anyway the picture is cute. TV shows I watch/watched: Veronica Mars season 1&2 Teen Wolf The Secret Life of the American Teenager season 1-4 Nikita season 1&2 Lost Girl season 1 Gilmore Girls season 5,6 and most of 7 Sea Patrol Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1-3 Chuck season 1,2&3 bits of others Alphas season 1 Moonlight Hellcats Heartland season 1-5 Coupling Dollhouse Switched at Birth Friends Samantha Who? Okay so now I'm going to put up some of my favourite quotes. And by some I mean all but taking out the ones that are only appropriate to other people from England. I have put my favourites in bold. You will probably notice I quite like Winston Churchill's quotes they are quite funny. Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves Confucius 504 B.C. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Cowards die many times before their death, The valliant never tastes death but once. William Shakespeare Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Lord Acton The people who influence you are people who believe in you Henry Drummond People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges. Joseph Fort Newton No guest is so welcome in a friend’s house that he will not become a nuisance after three days Plautus Sorrow which is never spoken is the heaviest load to bear. Butler You can’t live wrong and die right. Life becomes tragic to him who has plenty to live on but little to live for. Never love unless you can Bear with all the faults of man Thomas Campion No man can lose what he never had. Izaak Walton The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed. Richard Brinsley Sheridan Nothing is more precious than time, yet nothing less valued. Enjoy yourself. It is later than you think. Chinese Proverb The wisest man is he who does not fancy that he is so at all. Nicolas Boileau-Despeaux A fool says, “I can’t”; a wise man says, “I’ll try.” Learn as if you were to live forever; live as if you were to die to-morrow. Giving advice to a fool is like giving medicine to a dead man. American Saying No sense so uncommon as common sense The first step to knowledge is to know that we are ignorant. Richard Cecil Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear." Revenge is a dish best served cold Mathilde by Marie Joseph Eugène Sue Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Those who cannot forget the past are condemned to relive it Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names. I just received the following wire from my generous Daddy; Dear Jack, Don't buy a single vote more than is necessary. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay for a landslide. Mothers all want their sons to grow up to be president, but they don't want them to become politicians in the process. Once you say you're going to settle for second, that's what happens to you in life. Things do not happen. Things are made to happen. Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan. We would like to live as we once lived, but history will not permit it. When written in Chinese, the word "crisis" is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity. "Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration." Thomas Edison I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves. Just because something doesn't do what you planned it to do doesn't mean it's useless. It is no use saying, 'We are doing our best.' You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary. A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. A politician needs the ability to foretell what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year. And to have the ability afterwards to explain why it didn't happen. Although personally I am quite content with existing explosives, I feel we must not stand in the path of improvement. Although prepared for martyrdom, I preferred that it be postponed. An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last. Baldwin thought Europe was a bore, and Chamberlain thought it was only a greater Birmingham. He has all of the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire. History will be kind to me for I intend to write it. I always avoid prophesying beforehand, because it is a much better policy to prophesy after the event has already taken place. I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals. I am never going to have anything more to do with politics or politicians. When this war is over I shall confine myself entirely to writing and painting. I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter. I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly. In the course of my life, I have often had to eat my words, and I must confess that I have always found it a wholesome diet. In war, you can only be killed once, but in politics, many times. It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried. It is a fine thing to be honest, but it is also very important to be right. Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened. My most brilliant achievement was my ability to be able to persuade my wife to marry me. My wife and I tried two or three times in the last 40 years to have breakfast together, but it was so disagreeable we had to stop. "No comment" is a splendid expression. I am using it again and again. Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. One does not leave a convivial party before closing time. The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter. The British nation is unique in this respect. They are the only people who like to be told how bad things are, who like to be told the worst. There are a terrible lot of lies going about the world, and the worst of it is that half of them are true. There are two things that are more difficult than making an after-dinner speech: climbing a wall which is leaning toward you and kissing a girl who is leaning away from you. This report, by its very length, defends itself against the risk of being read. Those who can win a war well can rarely make a good peace and those who could make a good peace would never have won the war. When the war of the giants is over the wars of the pygmies will begin. You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life. Because the world is full of idiots and you’ll find that out as you get older. (when asked why there are so many VW campervans about)(My Dad- he hates VW campervans and beetles, it's hilarious) It’s a shame they don’t all drive them, then you would know who they were. (when discussing the correlation between idiots and VW campervans)(My Dad again) Unemployment is of vital importance, particularly to the unemployed. Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed. If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts. It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity. A career is wonderful, but you can't curl up with it on a cold night. Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves. What we wish, we readily believe, and what we ourselves think, we imagine others think also. Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich. Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. In politics stupidity is not a handicap. The tongue like a sharp knife... Kills without drawing blood. Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't. I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left. If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman. I do not know anyone who has got to the top without hard work. That is the recipe. It will not always get you to the top, but should get you pretty near. If my critics saw me walking over the Thames they would say it was because I couldn't swim. You must be the change you wish to see in the world. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first. The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much. Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help. A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries. If you have ten thousand regulations you destroy all respect for the law. The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you can see. Never hold discussions with the monkey when the organ grinder is in the room. The great defence against the air menace is to attack the enemy's aircraft as near as possible to their point of departure. If you are going through hell, keep going. Winston Churchill |
