Hi, my name is Nicci :)

I've been writing stories and poems as long as I've been able to write, but I'm just starting to get back into it. One of my biggest problems in writing is making the story flow together. So I really appreciate constructive criticism... or just criticism.

If anyone cares to know a little more about me, I'll share a few things...

Activities: Drama club, speech, chorus, drawing, painting, kayaking, reading, bass guitar in my band, listening to music, and writing.

Favorite Music: I love so many bands...but the main genres I listen to are metal, indie/ rock, classical (i.e. Debussy, Mozart), soft rock, experimental, some gothic rock...there's a lot. I'm a music junkie. Right now my favorite band is Radiohead.

Favorite Books: The Blue Mirror, The Opposite of Invisible, Plato- The Apology, Odd Thomas, and the Harry Potter series.

Favorite Movie: Dazed and Confused :)

Favorite TV Shows: Death Note, Degrassi, Secret Life of the American Teenager...I don't watch too much TV.

Future Job?: I want to open a coffee shop that features local indie/rock artists, including myself. I would also feature my art in the store. Right now, my art is really amateur, but I hope to get better.

I really appreciate the people who give my stories a chance :) and like I've said, I really would like to hear feedback from anyone who does read my fan fiction.

The story I'm writing right now is called Death Note High. I've been a huge fan of the anime and the manga ever since i started watching/reading it. This is my first ever fanfic. I have a plot line written out, but as I get deeper in the stories, I try to think on the spot what the characters would do in a situation. The story takes place in the United States, so that it's more relatable, and my English teacher always told me to, "Write what you know." I don't know much about Japan. There will be references to real places in the story, but I haven't decided the specific city for the story yet. I also added two new characters: Dahlia and Adam.

Dahlia is Ryuzaki (L's) crush in the story. Dahlia is gifted in a way. She is very good at reading people and picking up on their emotions.

Adam is a minor character, but he is the first person that Light kills as Kira.
