Haven't started writing yet, lots of ideas though. Really want to make sure I don't make any of the mistakes I see a lot of other "writers" make.

Song Fics... Hey, I think it's great that you imagine songs to go with your reading, really imaginative of you, but here's the deal, your imagination, your songs, not mine nor a lot of others. Just stop

Harry/Snape, Harry/Voldemort, Harry/any damned adult male... wtf is wrong with you people?!?!?! You need help, you need counselling, you NEED Jesus

The characters read the book/watch the movie... you're just stupid aren't you? You think you're clever but, you're just plainly simply unequivocally stupid...

Lousy summaries, I mean, if you can't write a correctly spelled interesting summary, why the hell did you think you could write a story?

Abandoned (on hiatus) stories... I think fanfiction should automatically mark a story as abandoned after 30 days with no update or completion mark. Save a hell of a lot of people getting frustrated because your attention deficit ass can't finish one damned story.

Things I do get...

Harry/Draco... IF it is well written and there is an evolution to their dynamic (Not just suddenly "hey, I fancy you, wanna F*ck?")

Harry/Hermione Makes a hell of a lot more sense than whatever the hell happened in JKR's brain (I'm still voting for minor stroke)

Any REALISTIC change to JKR's world cause lets face it... her writing turned to crap and she put in soooo many plot-holes Swiss cheese looks solid by comparison.
