John comes home from a date upset and Sherlock tries to find out why. When he finds out John has tattoos, Sherlock tries to see where and what they are even if John is unwilling to show him at first. What kind of ink is John Watson hiding? Johnlock.

Arthur's eyes widened, focusing on Merlin's chest. "Merlin, what hap-" Arthur's eyes darted around, instantly taking in what had happened. The enemy queen with her hand still outstretched to shake Arthur's. The archer, standing in the shadows, lowering his bow after his shot went amiss. And the archer's arrow, clearly meant for Arthur, now buried in Merlin's chest. Character death.

John's in hospital after being shot. Sherlock's worried. Lestrade's stumped. Anderson's boring. And Sally just wishes they could solve the case. Classic locked room case. Honey 'Verse.

Picking up where "Afghanistan Comes Home" leaves off, John and Sherlock go to Captain Evans funeral. Events escalate rapidly and suddenly Sherlock finds himself separated from John by thousands of kilometers, as his friend takes part in a special ops rescue mission. In Afghanistan. Sherlock has ruined yet another of John's relationships. With the Officers' Ball looming on the horizon, Sherlock offers his assistance in finding John a date. Will his help finally push John over the edge?

Sherlock is a forensic pathologist teaching at Bart's. John is his student who finds himself very interested in Dr Holmes. Sherlock is interested too, but John is his student...a relationship between them is hardly appropriate. And yet it feels right. But it is against his principles, not to mention the rules. So they go their separate ways only to meet again.

It was only when people actually saw John working as a physician that they began to understand: that it wasn't just about bullets and IEDs and trauma care under fire. That "doctor" actually covered a pretty wide field. And that John was bloody good at covering ground. 5 times Dr. Watson treated others and 1 time he treated himself.
