All of the dwarves survive the Battle of the Five Armies, but Bilbo must return to the Shire to sort out his old life and make way for a new one in Erebor. Over one year later, Bilbo comes back to the Lonely Mountain with a recently orphaned Frodo. King Thorin isn't quite sure what to make of this new, tiny addition to his Company. Slow build, Company and character focused.

If this were a song, it would be a little ditty. Just a blip in Fili and Kili's lives, but maybe one that helped shape them into the two loyal and caring young Dwarves they grow into. A typical bungle leads the brothers to someone who could use a touch of the light that they carry. Multi-chapter, but by no means a novel.

Goblins have attacked the Mountain where the dwarves of Erebor have made a settlement. Now Thorin must race back home to save what family he has left as young Fili and Kili have to try and make it out of the mountain alive.
