This is a alternate human medieval universe (AHMU?) Steven recently became a squire without knowing the magical/love adventure ahead. This is a Stapis/Lapiven - Stevidot/Periven story, you're warned.

For Steven, it's just another year of high school with his friends. That is until his childhood friend Peridot, bumps into him in the hallways. AU Stevidot. Constructive criticism is welcome.

It's Peridot's first mission, things take a darker turn when she gets kidnapped by a Homeworld ship. Alone in a ship with only enemy gems as company, it becomes apparent that saving the day isn't as easy as the Crystal Gems seem to make it out to be. Can Peridot make it out with her gem intact, or will an even darker past catch up to both her and the rest of the Crystal Gems?

Pearl is shattered unexpectedly and the other gems are corrupted. Steven and Peridot are the only Crystal Gems remaining. With Steven's newly-found power to talk to shattered gems in his dreams and Peridot's logic and quick thinking, they are the only Gems who can save the Earth from Homeworld's next attack. Steven and Peridot finally worked up the courage and got together, in this chapter they're introduced and their characters are displayed, this is mostly scene set for the next chapters.
