Quotes If you don't understand how someone could love their sibling and want to wring their necks at the same time... You were probably an only child. The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on. Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils... There's nothing wrong with arguing with yourself. It's when you argue with yourself and LOSE, then it's weird. A real friend is someone who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. They say guns don't kill people, people kill people, but honestly I think guns have something to do with it because if someone just stood there and said "bang," I don't think many people would be dead... When in doubt, push random buttons! (And then hope it doesn't blow up.) Keep smiling; it makes people wonder what you're up to. I’ll try to be nicer if you try to be smarter. I’m not so good at advice. Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment? Light travels faster than sound, which is why some people seem bright untill they speak Lady Gaga taught me its ok to be different, REMEMBER WHEN… OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing. "I felt like I'd fallen from another planet, into this strange girl's body. But it wasn't me at all! I was meant to be somewhere else! Each night I'd walk home, and I'd look up at the stars through the gaps in the clouds, and I'd try to imagine where I really came from. I'd dream that one day everything would come right, and I'd be carried off back home." -Ace, Dragonfire "Of course, what is the point of being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes?" Fourth Doctor Robot (Ah, all so true) “One of the greatest problems of our time is that many are schooled but few are educated” - Sir Thomas More If you read this, you must repost it They Hurt Her About six years ago in Indiana, Carmen Winstead was pushed down a sewer opening by five girls in her school, trying to embarrass her in front of her school during a fire drill. When she didn't submerge, the police were called. They went down and brought up 17-year-old Carmen Winstead's body, with her neck broken from hitting the ladder, then the concrete at the bottom. The girls told everyone she fell... They believed them. FACT: About two months later, 16-year-old David Gregory read this post and didn't repost it. When he went to take a shower, he heard laughter, started freaking out, and ran to his computer to repost it. He said goodnight to his mom and went to sleep, but five hours later, his mom woke up in the middle of the night from a loud noise and David was gone. A few hours later, the police found him in the sewer, with a broken neck and the skin on his face peeled off. Even Google her name - you'll find this to be true. If you don't repost this saying "They hurt her," then Carmen will get you, either from a sewer, the toilet, the shower, or when you go to sleep, you'll wake up in the sewer, in the dark, then Carmen will come and kill you. |
