Coming of age 1960's. Bella keeps her mother's secrets. But she has some of her own, a love from childhood for the golden boy Edward, the one who no longer sees her. Soon they are tied by more than childhood history. It's a long dark road toward finding her thunder.

1936, Edward and Jasper work as loggers. They work hard and play harder. Bella and Jacob come to the camp to open the school. Problem is the unmarried men have a great time running off the teachers. When Edward sees Bella a roar starts to build inside. She's everything he can't stand. And he's pretty despicable. Trouble.

Edward is fresh out of the big house and Bella is his new boss.

Post-Civil war, Edward and Jasper come home after a cattle-drive, greeted by his little sis, 16 year old Bella Marie. She is pressing Edward to let her be courted by the neighbor's son. Bella had always hoped she could marry Edward seeing as she is adopted, brought to their family as an infant by Edward's now deceased father. Edward allows Paul to call. That's when trouble comes.

If I was going to write another story it would be something like this...Charlie sheriff, Bella home from Chicago after getting fired, Edward across the street, Charlie's deputy, divorced father of son Juney. She's always had a thing for him, but he's so darn loyal to Charlie and now he's got a girlfriend. He thinks Bella is still a kid. He always pinches the wrong set of cheeks.

Bella and Alice were best friends, which made Bella the only girl off limits to Alice's brother Edward. When a party the summer after graduation gets out of control, Bella's world is turned upside down. "He doesn't know. I don't want him to."
