Picking up where my short fic "Leaving Neverland" ended (around 3x10), we see how that one night affects both Emma & Killian in Storybrooke. When Pan's Curse is imminent, Killian offers to escape the curse with Emma & Henry, but he isn't prepared for the result. Canon divergence but still will follow show's events. AU: When Princess Emma's ship is captured by the Jolly Roger and Captain Killian Jones, she offers herself as a hostage for ransom if he will let the ship and the other passengers go. Out of the corner of her eye Emma spotted something sticking out of the snow. Nothing could have prepared her for what she found. Lying there, with a layer of snow starting to cover him, was a man. She didn't have time to wonder who he was or how he got there. He needed to get warm before his body shut down.

Canon divergence from 3x13 onward, where Walsh never reveals himself and Storybrooke isn't where it should be. Emma and Killian have to not only find a way back to Storybrooke and Emma's family, but keep each other and Henry safe in the process.

As if returning home penniless and heartbroken isn't bad enough, the last thing Emma needs is for her mom to get her a job – and for her future boss to pull her out of the harbor before she even knows his name. But Killian Jones has never been afraid of the water...

He gave up his ship for her. Would go to the end of the world and time for her. To make sure she was safe. That she was happy. He was in love with her, and even if she could never love him back, he would stay by her side as long as she needed him.

After being given Jekyll's serum by by the Evil Queen, Killian's worst part of him is released...or rather, worst parts. And despite their need for revenge, the separated parts (along with Killian) discover a far greater need in the form of Emma.

A smutty one-shot. What I think -really- happened that first morning between Emma and Killian.. Based on the scene in 6x06 Dark Waters; before the throwing away of Henry's beloved strawberry poptarts.

This isn't the first time they've shared a bed, and if she has her say, it certainly won't be the last – but it is the first time they've shared this bed, the one in their home in the world of the living. And after all they've been through since the last time he touched her, neither tinged by darkness nor death, the difference is everything.

Storybrooke doesn't frequently allow for moments - seconds, even - of peace. Killian and Emma have to take advantage of it while they can. They don't plan on leaving this bed, their bed, anytime soon.
