I'm a long-time fanfiction reader, and relatively recent fanfiction writer. I love to read, write, play the piano, cook, and, most unfortunately, procrastinate by reading, writing, playing the piano, and cooking.

I came to Potterverse late -- 2013 -- and have spent the last number of years immersed in all manner of Harry Potter fanfics: Harry/Hermione, Draco/Hermione, Severus/Hermione, Severus/Harry (NOT slash -- I have zero issue with anyone's sexuality, but I personally don't feel it fits what we know of these two characters). My hope is to be as true to canon as the muse allows.

Trite as it my be, my favourite character is Severus Snape for whom I feel a great affection. I suspect I'm not the only one. This affinity could be due to the late Alan Rickman's portrayal (RIP) or simply that I get how it feels to be misunderstood.

You should know that Harry Potter is not my favourite book series (I'll let you guess what my favourite series is). However, what the wonderful J.K. Rowling did right was create characters that feel very real. So real you wonder where they could have gone, what they could have done, who they could have been. Unlike other epic literary adventures, HP does not seem final -- that more could be told. And so, many of us attempt to tell it.

Along with Severus, I like, to varying degrees Harry, Hermione, that prat Percy Weasley (don't judge me), Remus Lupin, Albus Dumbledore (though I run hot and cold with the Headmaster), Hagrid, Luna Lovegood, and Neville Longbottom. I'm a Gryffindor by nature who wishes to be a Ravenclaw-Slytherin...hence, A Failure to Communicate; A Failure to Launch; A Failure to Plan.
