Clara stared at him, shaking her head from side to side. "Stop it." She didn't try to hide her crying now. "Just stop," she repeated, her voice growing in volume. "Just stop!" She grabbed him by the shoulders as if to shake him. His cheery façade gone, a thousand years of sorrow shone through. "I can't."

He laughed weakly in that way that signaled he was about to say something she wouldn't like hearing. "You're about to become part of the history lesson. This is the way they solved their population problem: the Antipoi breeding pod."

It won't be so bad being stuck on a submarine with the Doctor for two weeks, right? After all, Clara finds him suddenly all affectionate and attentive which she very much approves of. Only things don't stay that way and the longer they're stuck down there, the more confusing he becomes. Just what is going on in his head?

One minute, Clara was standing behind the doctor listening to him ramble. The next, she was in a dark room with a feisty redhead, her parents and aunt, her husband and his father and a mysterious teenaged genius. Not to mention the one eyed woman and memory proof aliens. They don't know where they are, or why they've been taken but they do know there has to be a connection...

This is the story of Rose Tyler's dimension-hopping prior to the end of series 4. Eventual reunion with the Doctor.
