I am a caartonist. A TRUE cartoonist who believes, and will continue to believe to his dying day that Cartoning is an AMERICAN Art Form. the Japanese just decided to snatch up the idea and use it for themselves. Let's face it folks (and I know I'm going to make an ARMY of enimies, here)this anime that you love so much is loaded down with blood, guts & gore, too much sex (and I mean WAY TOO MUCH sex), character who are all highly skilled in the Martial Arts (What're the odds on that happening, I ask you, especially when those characters are mere young boys and girls? Impossible! Martial Arts are NOT taught in the Japanese school system. I know. I'm an ex-serviceman and I spent a LOT of time in Japan while in uniform.)There are anime characters who run around nearly naked, showing s much as the artist can possibly get away with. They swear. Jeeze do they swear, I can't count the number of times I've heard an anime character use the words; fu*k, or As*h*le, ba*ard, bi*tch, sh*t, etc. I think you've all forgotten that young kids watch some of these shows! Ok, so I'm no angel, I'm an ex-serviceman (US Army, in case you're curious)and I've used my share of abusive profanity in my time. But NEVER has this sort of talk or anime-type behavior EVER appeared in any of my cartoon strips. cartoons were intended to be funny, to make us smile. They were NOT about slicing people to bits with Kitanas any number of other blades. They weren't about blasting people to bits (and as in Dragonball Z, then have those
defeated and dead characters repeatedly return to life. Now that IS F*king stupid!)Cartoons aren't about beating people blooding and having to see gore fly just about everywhere imaginable.
Face up to it people, I an NOT a fan of anime', and will never be a fan till the artists and writers clean up thier act. Man, I've been reading some of the fan fics posted on this site, and I have to tell you, that I've run into a number of them that are just plain X-Rated filth and pure pornography. Face it folks anime characters are nothing more than ink and paint drawn on sheets of plastic. They never have been and never will be alive. They cannot make love, and they definately cannot have orgasms.
