I am a part-time professor in Survey Methodology at the University of California and a Harvard graduate where I studied mathematics. I have carried out studies and published a number of articles in worldwide scientific journals on laboratory and field-experimental studies regarding questionnaire design for face-to-face surveys, telephone surveys and self-administered surveys. I repeatedly lecture on comparative surveys and nonresponse and I lately co-authored a book on nonresponse within the US Social Survey. I have designed social surveys, interviews, and observational studies within the US and Europe and my recent research interests include the harmonization of socio-demographic variables for national and cross-national comparative analysis.
