Hey I'm pretty new to this site but I'm pretty excited to share/read some of the stories on here.

I'm an 19 year old guy from the UK and as you can probably guess from the fact I'm here: I like to write.

If I was to describe how I write it'd be similar to how I talk or think. Basically I ramble...a lot. I don't like to plan too much I kinda just like to see how the story evolves overtime and often when I'm writing characters can have almost completely different arcs to what I first thought up the story. It makes writing a lot more interesting but often at the expense of the flow of the story. I also base a lot of the stuff I write in real life and the issues and relationships I have/had there.

The books that I loved when I was a kid were the Spooks books, Percy Jackson and Terry Pratchett. I used to hide away in a cardboard box with a torch and read for hours and hours and then spend even longer dreaming up my own cool worlds. I used to spend so much time with my friends going into the woods and pretending I was in one of those worlds.

I used to love creative writing but as I grew up I fell out of the habit pretty quickly and soon I wasn't even reading fiction, let alone writing it. I currently go to Uni so I already read tonnes of non-fiction writing all the time but I kinda want to get back into my old hobby, there's something I think is really special about fiction writing that just isn't present in my current work.

At the moment I'm reading a lot of historical based fiction and crime.

Other than writing I play guitar, mandolin and when I have the free time (so basically never) video games.

And of course if you didn't already guess my favourite video game series is Zelda. My first Zelda game was Phantom Hourglass but I've played them all by now. I feel the most nostalgia towards spirit tracks because it has the best music in the series (imo) but, botw has taken the spot as my favourite of all time.

Currently I'm mostly working on "A Land of Ice" a full length fanfic. I'm also working on "City of Strings" a shorter fic, with any extra time (which is rare these days) but I may pause the main story to get it finished at some point.

Also "Ebb and Flow" and "familiarity" are finished! Please check them out they're good (I think).
