Connor jolted awake in a panicked sweat. There was nothing new in his crowded dreams, involving him in the midst of spiralling consequences. Except that this one had involved Oliver, sweating on the stand.

"I dare you…" Aiden said, "to ask nerd extraordinaire, Oliver Hampton, to the prom". Connor looked over at Oliver. He was writing intently, occasionally pausing to think, tapping his pencil on the bridge of his nose. He saw Oliver notice him, startled like a doe and then quickly focused on his page again. Connor grinned. "Deal".

Connor would love to be that unbreakable human. But he really isn't. Hidden under that charming exterior is a small child needing to be looked after. In which I decide to take out my own pain on characters - Connor has a migraine and the group decide the best medicine is to invite around the latest guy he's screwed over in his thirst for power. Are boyfriends really so bad?
