Hello, peoples, and, er, welcome to my profile. I'm Aimz, 24 years old, female, a total geek, and I have a husband who is equally geeky.

I like to write fanfiction revolving mainly around computer/video games, and, occasionally, movies. My original writing can be located at FictionPress, under the same pen name. I prefer to write one-shots over multi-chaptered fics.

Bear in mind that the stories featured here were written several years ago (ie. 2001/2002), so they may not have the greatest grammar skills in the world - nothing hugely major, but there are a few errors here and there (I have since improved on that over the years, of course). That is also the explanation as to why my stories may come across as a little bit "immature", in a way. If I was to write fics again, I am sure my writing style would be better.

I accept that my stories won't be everyone's cup of tea (and, let's face it, most - if not all - of them are, er, not that great), but if you think they could do with some improvement, then I would greatly appreciate constructive criticism.

Now, I have been suffering from severe writer's block since 2003 or thereabouts, so that is why I haven't written anything in... several years. Also, I have developed a dislike for most of my old stories. They're just so... embarrassing. Gah. I have, however, left them up for anyone who might - gasp! - actually like them. I have many, many ideas and situations floating around in my head, but I just do not possess the talent to write them down. Meh.

That being said, I do have a few fic ideas that are just knawing away at my brain and begging me to write them. Some of these ideas revolve around the Ju-on and The Grudge fandoms, as well as a few for Silent Hill (both game and movie-verse) so you never know, I may actually manage to get those written some day. I also have a disturbing idea or two for Clive Barker's Jericho swimming around in my head, but I don't know if I'll be able to pull it off. I am also planning on another Jill/Carlos one-shot Resident Evil fic set during Nemesis, which I'm hoping will end up a lot better than the one I wrote back in 2001, as well as a The Descent one-shot.

I am currently working on a fanfic for The Grudge, primarily dealing with The Grudge 2. It's going to take a while, but I'm determined to get it written. It was originally intended as a single-chapter fic, but it may end up as a multi-chaptered collection of one-shots. I'm also working on a The Grudge 3-centric fic.

Pairing-wise, I have a penchant for out-of-the-ordinary pairings (some of which venture into pure crack territory) as well as some... less odd and canon pairings, but I'll read pretty much any pairing if it is well-written. I like tend to prefer het and femmeslash, but I have been known to enjoy the odd slash fic, if the pairing piques my interest.

Of course, I'm still hanging around here occasionally, reading the fics and dishing out the odd review. :)

A Friend In Need (Resident Evil)

Somewhat melodramatic and I completely overused the F-word, but I still sort of like it. I also wish I'd brought out some of the Jill/Carlos stuff a bit more, but back when I wrote it I think I was too afraid of bringing hardcore Chris/Jill fans down on my head. Pssh, if I re-wrote this fic now, I wouldn't care about that. XD

Carousel (Silent Hill)

Probably my favourite out of my older fics, not perfect, but I still like it. I still think it has a very tense, nerve-wracking quality to it, and I hope it matched the fearful atmophere of the game. Also, I love Cybil, and as there was (and still is) a severe lack of Cybil-fic, I felt a burning need to write it.

The Cemetery (Resident Evil)

Not too bad, but, meh.

Conflict (X-Men movie)

I just wanted to write a piece on Mystique, because I luff her. Could be much better, but, eh, it's not that bad, I guess.

Darkness (Tomb Raider original canon)

I wanted to get inside of Lara's head during the ending of the fourth game, and, if I re-wrote it now, I hope I'd do a better job of it. I think I kept her as in-character as possible at the time, though.

The Encounter (Resident Evil)

My first RE 3 novelisation. I wrote it for my English class waaaaaay back when I was still at school, and it is filled with minor, but noticable grammatical errors. Oh, the shame. Still, I don't suppose it's too awful, although I fear I wrote Jill a little OOC towards the end. Feh.

I re-read this recently, and, um, oh dear. I used to think that this was one of my better fics, and, in some places, I suppose it's alright, but I cringed so badly at the amount of melodrama and pure cheese I threw in towards the end of it. ~hangs head in shame~ This fic is also lacking in research, another thing that makes me cringe. However, I like that I made an attempt to show a slightly more sensitive side to Lara.
