Kairi Toboni

•Background:

Kairi Grace Toboni was born on August 11, 1989, to Poseidon, the God of the Seas, and Alanna Toboni, a marine biologist. When Kairi was still a child, Poseidon left her and her mother after a confrontation with Zeus. Before he left, he imparted Kairi his trident as his legacy.

One day, when her school went on a field trip to an aquarium in Maine, Kairi was confronted by two bullies for seemingly taking an interest in the exhibits and marine life. However, when Kairi cried out, a shark came to her aid, slamming on the tank. As the remaining animals surrounded Kairi, her eyes had changed color, glowing a bright blue. This heritage caused Kairi to grow up with incredible powers, including the ability to breathe underwater. However, Kairi’s ignorance regarding how to handle these powers induced her to become very conflicted, and somewhat reserved, with internal struggles.

•Personality:

Dedicated and compassionate, Kairi has an intimidating exterior but is understanding and caring once she can trust someone. She is also very conflicted, struggling with the fact that she has superhuman powers which she doesn’t know how to handle. She grew up feeling alienated from humans, yet felt responsible in protecting them, and bitter at her father Poseidon for abandoning her and her mother.

Kairi hides her insecurities and troubled past behind an intimidating attitude, choosing to alienate herself from others, though she can be relaxed and friendly around those she trusts, such as her mother.

Despite her exterior, however, Kairi is ultimately selfless and believes in doing what is right. Kairi can oftentimes come off as standoffish or stubborn, but this is a result of her determination to reach her goals.

In her role as a fighter, Kairi is also brave and quick-thinking. Outside if combat, she is inventive in tight situations, As a result of this quick-thinking, however, she can be a bit impulsive. She also retains a light-hearted and playful side in contrast to her usually standoffish disposition.

•Appearance:

Kairi is an olive-skinned demigoddess with long, red hair and brown almond shaped eyes. Due to her Olympian heritage and years of combat, she has an athletic build. She stands at 5 ft. 4 inches.

•Powers and Abilities:

Human-Olympian Hybrid Physiology: Due to her Old God heritage, Kairi possesses superhuman abilities typical with this species, such as superhuman speed, durability, strength, stamina, reflexes, and agility, as well as a regenerative healing factor and a slower aging process. In addition, she possesses incredible supernatural powers that allow her to generate and manipulate water, as well as divine energy in the form of powerful shockwaves.

a.) Superhuman Strength: As a demigoddess, Kairi possesses incredible superhuman strength. She can effortlessly bend metal, slam through solid walls and reinforced glass, and pry open steel doors. Kairi’s extends to her ability to jump great distances.

i.) Super Leaps: Kairi can use her incredible strength to jump immense vertical and horizontal distances.

b.) Superhuman Durability: The bones and muscles of Kairi are much denser and harder than those of humans, which makes her incredibly durable. Although she is not bulletproof, she can survive brute force trauma, falls from high altitudes, explosions, and powerful bursts of energy, or come in contact with superhuman opponents.

i.) Regenerative Healing Factor: Due to her Olympian physiology, Kairi can heal from wounds at considerable superhuman rates. This compensates for her vulnerability to sharp objects and bullets.

ii.) Poison Immunity: Kairi can withstand poisons without any pain or discomfort.

iii.) Decelerated Aging: In addition, Kairi’s healing factor provides her with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process.

c.) Superhuman Speed: Kairi can move at inhuman speeds.

i.) Superhuman Reflexes: Kairi’s speeds also extend to her reflexes, even if she’s not moving at super speed.

d.) Superhuman Agility: Kairi naturally possesses superhuman agility, dexterity, body coordination, and balance, allowing her to jump up immense distances and come down in elaborate somersaults, to swiftly and easily take down many opponents, while dodging and weaving around attacks.

e.) Superhuman Stamina: Kairi’s musculature is considerably more efficient than that of a human. As a result, her body rarely produces fatigue toxins during physical activity, compared to other humans. Her enhanced endurance allows her to exercise at near maximum capacity for a number of hours before tiring.

f.) Super Senses: Kairi, due to her demigoddess physiology, has all of her senses superhumanly enhanced. This allows her to see others from miles away.

e.) Hydrokinesis: As the daughter of Poseidon, Kairi has absolute control and divine authority over water in all forms and states of matter. When in contact with or in the presence of water, Kairi gains a disproportionate amount of superhuman clarity, strength, speed, agility, and endurance equaling a god. With the power of the sea within her, Kairi can control every form and great volumes of water, being even able to summon and heal her wounds when she comes into contact with water.

i.) Water Solidification: Kairi can harden water to an almost solid shape. She can use this power to walk on water by increasing the surface tension of the water to the point where it is solid enough for her to walk on, and water constructs.

ii.) Water Propulsion: She can control the water around her to propel herself through the water. Kairi can shoot water, not only from being in water, but she can blast the own water she creates.

iii.) General Hydrokinesis: She can create water with her own energy by summoning the force of the ocean to her will, as long as she concentrates long enough.

iv.) Floods and Droughts: She can bring about floods and droughts.

v.) Cryokinesis: She can control ice and snow to create icy hurricanes. She can also manipulate frozen or icy water around her.

vi.) Water Immunity: She can fall from great heights into water, and is unaffected by any amount of water pressure.

vii.) Heat Immunity: As the daughter of Poseidon, Kairi has a far higher than normal resistance to heat and burns, due to her father’s oceanic nature.

viii.) Hydrogenesis: Kairi can create water from her own power, creating water out of nothing. She can use this ability to create her own personal hurricanes.

ix.) Vitakinesis: Since she is the daughter of Poseidon, she can heal most wounds and cure most poisons when in contact with water.

x.) Water Pressure Immunity: She can withstand any amount of water pressure.

xi.) Atmokinesis: Kairi can summon hurricanes and other types of storms. She can summon powerful hurricanes and sustain them with ease.

xi.) Aerokinesis: Kairi can summon strong winds, which she can use to create storms such as hurricanes and typhoons.

xii.) Electrokinesis: While creating her hurricanes, sparks of lightning appear as her hurricanes increase in power.

xiii.) Communication: Kairi has divine authority over her father’s subjects. She can talk (normally and telepathically) to equines and sea creatures.

xiv.) Zoolingualism: She can understand and talk to marine animals, horses, and similar creatures.

xv.) Underwater Breathing: Kairi can breathe underwater and diffuse the oxygen in water to create oxygen bubbles that allow non-hydrokinetic allies to breathe underwater. This power allows her to clearly talk with others as if she’s above water.

xvi.) Geokinesis: Kairi can generate earthquakes and (consequently) cause volcanic eruptions.

xvii.) Divine Energy Generation: As the daughter of Poseidon, Kairi has incredible control over the supernatural divine energy of the Olympian Gods. When she claps her hands together, she releases a large blast of white-hot energy. She can also generate these shockwaves from her body with a very powerful omnidirectional shockwave. She’s also capable of using the energy to shield herself and freeze the momentum of targets in front of her.

Master Combatant: Kairi is an extremely skilled fighter, both in armed combat and melee, whether it be above or in water. However, years of surface combat dulled her water combat prowess, making her less capable in such combat.

Trident Mastery: Kairi is extremely skilled when battling with a trident.

Expert Marksman: With her trident, Kairi has immensely proficient marksmanship. She can strike down several opponents with a single throw.

Master Swimmer: As the daughter of Poseidon, Kairi is an extremely skilled swimmer. She can propel herself from water like a dolphin.

•Weaknesses:

One of Kairi’s biggest weaknesses is her compassion and insecurities.

•Additional Information:

When Kairi uses her powers, a bluish aura appears around her hands.

She holds a grudge against her father due to his abandonment.

Kairi’s insecurities regarding her heritage and powers caused her to have issues when it comes to bonding with others. Isolating herself was the best way for her to feel more in control of herself and emotions.
