Whew! New year, new profile (even if it's March...) I'm a sophmore in the I.B. program, which essentially means that I have evolved into a creature that requires neither sleep nor a social life outside of people at school. Just coffee. Luckily for me I hang out with a bunch of people who are equally obsessive about things as I am! 1 1/2 years ago I began the petition at my high school to start an after school anime club. We started out as 20 kids crammed into the very small green room of our library, with watching an hour of anime being our only activity. This year we have 45 members, the spacious and awesomely decorated stastics classroom, a forum, an official website, and coming soon a web comic! We've grown past just watching 2 episodes of a random anime to having fanart contests, our own set of holidays, (including samurai day, medieval day, and good vs evil day) cosplay competitions, storyboarding meetings (for the comic), trivia games with plushie prizes, overnight marathons, and banquets at our local steak house (with our usual chef, whom we love with all of our hearts. He has been nicknamed Yuhi in honor of his awesomeness). Currently I hold one of the two manga-librarian posts in club, and hope to run for secretary in my junior year, and president in my senior year. Anime/Manga to obsess over: FAKE, Yami no Matsuei, Gundam Wing, Weiss Kruez, Petshop of Horrors, Rurouni Kenhin, Inu Yasha, Demon Diary, Girl Got Game, Trigun, Kodomo No Omocha, Card Captor Sakura, DNAngel, Dragon Knights, Fruits Basket, Candidate for Goddess Webcomics to obsess over: Friendly Hostility Books/Series to obsess over: Tortall, Artemis Fowl, Ella Enchanted, Harry Potter, Young Wizards, Xanth, Discworld, The Confessions of Georgia Nicholson, anything by Katie Maxwell, Catcher in the Rye... I'll think of more later. There are many, many more. Computer/Video Games to obsess over: Final Fantasy I- X-2, Legend of Dragoon, Harry Potter, Nancy Drew (OMG I love these...), Where in Time is Carmen San Diego, Zoombinies, The Sims Music/Bands/CDs to obsess over: Green Day, All-American Rejects, Simple Plan, Bond, Good Charlotte, Linkin Park, Skye Sweetnam, Bowling for Soup, Switchfoot, Ayumi Hamasaki, the FF9 soundtrack, Dasi, 80's rock in general... People to (coughstalk) obsess over: John Bregar, Adamo Ruggerio, Tom Felton, Daniel Radcliffe, Orlando Bloom...
