It's been over a year since I updated here, since I mostly abandoned this place because of the NC-17 restriction. It was pretty petty (haha, I'm so clever) of me to do so, though I can't help but feel like the place was a lot less interesting when that happened. ;)

Anyhoo, for the most part I took my work to Mediaminer.org, where you can find a little more of the story--and no insignificant amount either. However, I found this place again and I plan on posting the rest here--I always liked they layout here much more than over there, and I think the reading is much easier on the eyes. Raw text gets boring, this place is nicely put-together. Anyways, the rest of the story will find its way here too, sooner not later (for once).

My Story: (wicked old and in need of updating since I wrote it over a year ago)

I had been flirting with the idea of writting fanfiction for quite a while before I became dedicated... I always wanted to write something about Final Fantasy VII, or something else with a comperable amount of depth and plot development. But something kept me from buckling down with my keyboard and producing results. Believe it or not, it was Digimon that did it. And because of my little cousin, I almost abandoned all hope for the series. I had already seen a good deal of the first season, and wasn't that impressed. I figured that there was more depth to the sub-titled version, but the corny jokes just killed my chances of really submerging myself into the series. I decided to give the second season a chance, but disaster struck out of no where...

One day she pulled me aside, and out of no where she decided to explain how the digivolution in the second season worked, and how it compared to the first season. Now EVERYBODY knows how everything your little sister/cousin/relative sounds much dumber than it really is, and boy she really ruined that series for me. And because of that day, I became one of those, "Digimon TOTALLY ripped off Pokemon," people . . . that's right, i was one of those bastards that many of you have secretly hated.

Then one day, literally years later, I turned on the TV (before school, despairing that I would soon have to deal with my horrible chemistry teacher) and started flipping. I found ABC Family had Digimon, season three on and decided to watch. Much to my surprise, it was actually really good. So good in fact that I started to watch it every day. The music and the voice overs have massively improved in quality, and I actually developed favorite characters. Now I'm an avid fan of the series (well, the third season any way, I still don't know much of anything about the first two seasons).

Back to the issue at hand though, like I said, Digimon finally motivated me. I had begun looking up Renamon and Rika/Ruki (but primarily Renamon) info/pictures/music/stories, and got deeply involved in several stories here on this very site. But nobody explained how the digimon got back into the real world. Not plausably anyway. This began to plague my mind, and I wracked my brains to figure out how they could have gotten back, and stayed in the real world. As my obsessive compulsive tendancies took over, I was preoccupied for almost a week thinking of a way to get them back, and as I contemplated this, an elaborate story began to grow in my head. And because of that, you are reading this now.

My first story will be an introduction to what I hope will be a large number of interconnected stories. This tale of the Digimon's return to the real world will be called, "Of Doors and Data," and will be my first fanfiction ever. I am currently up to chapter 5 in it.
