![]() Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. Hello everyone! This is my profile page, so I'll try to give you a good overview of myself here without making it a giant block of text. My name is Tara, I'm 15, and I dream of being a published writer. I write constantly, wrote fic before I knew what fanfic was, and I read anything I can get my hands on. I love fantasy and sci-fi and those rare beautiful books that can blend the two genres together well. I have a weakness for Disney movies even though I know I'm too old for that sort of thing. I am both a Christian and a Buddhist, but I endeavor to keep from ever pushing my beliefs on anyone. I live in Colorado in the United States, am the youngest of seven children, and have two very different but very loving parents who are very supportive of my writing endeavors. I'm not really part of any 'clique' in school, I'm just sort of me, and to be honest I haven't seen much cliquishness in my school, possibly because I live in a small town. The fandoms I enjoy reading for are too many to list, so I won't go into that here as a list would probably be boring to read regardless. The fandoms I'm most interested in writing for are Harry Potter, Chronicles Of Narnia, Pokemon, Artemis Fowl, and anything DC or Marvel related. That may change as time goes on; we'll see. One of my big problems is starting things and not finishing them, so I've made it my own resolution this year that if I'm going to finally be brave enough to put my fanfiction out there, I will write one story at a time and not move on until it is finished. This way I will ensure that what I write is finished instead of just writing an opening chapter to a dozen stories. I respect my readers and I understand you deserve a conclusion to the story. I will not list pairings I like or don't like here, because that changes. I used to look at some pairings and simply not understand how anyone could see those two together, but good authors have written stories that make couples make sense. On the other hand, things I shipped before have grown stale to me, so shipping is not a fixed point. And even if I don't like your OTP, I'm not going to be rude to you and tell you off. Nobody died and made me The High Queen Of Fanfic. This is also why I'm not going to bash slash, femslash, incest, age-difference pairings, furries or other easy targets in the fanfic world. Is it my thing? No, I'm terrible at writing it and I'm not big on romance even of the het variety. Does that mean these people deserve to be bashed into the ground? No. We're all writers here, so we're all allies. No exceptions. You are entitled to write what you want to write regardless of whether or not I like it. I may not write romance but I support those who do in all its forms. I'm more of an introvert than an extrovert, but I'm always happy to get a PM from someone. Whether you want to discuss something I said in a review or my current story or just chat, I'd love to hear from you. I think fandom is at its best when it's like a community, and I would love to have some fandom friends. Although my best friend offline is one of the nicest human beings you'll ever meet (and hilarious at all times) she isn't into fanfic, so I'm always happy to chat with people online about it. Apologies if I've rambled on. I do that a lot, especially in reviews. Thank you for reading my work and/or my profile. |
