I'm here just to read - there are a lot of interesting, unpublished authors out there whose talent I don't want to miss.

I came across this site through the following chain: Feministing - Dairi Burger (Sweet Valley High snarky recap site) - Tales of a Walking Highlighter (YA and teen fiction snarky recap site) - Claudia's Room (BSC snarky recap) -- here. Right now for some odd reason I'm remembering really vividly my obsession as a tween with Babysitter's Club books. I don't think I read more than 30 of those books, but for some reason I can't fathom I've become fascinated with my memories of them. Anyway, I enjoy both the snarky reviews of existing books and the fan fic of the "what happened afterwards" variety.

Also currently interested in other books I read as a tween: V.C. Andrews, and a bit of SVH. As for the latter, I'm more interested in snarky analysis than fan-fic value. V.C. Andrew's creepy, usually trashy, but rather dark stories made quite an impression on me during my tween years. What the nature of this impression is in my current life, I am currently exploring.

Anyway, I'm really enjoying all of your stories and poems. They encourage me to think and reflect, and that, for me, is what reading is all about.
