Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Twilight. conspiraciesandlegacies. 1 April Second, Two-thousand-Nine. Hello, all. Guess who's back in the writing business? You guessed right- me! Writing is both a gift of escape and a burden. However writing must be refined, and practice makes perfect. (In the words of Lizzie Bennet, "Maybe you should take your aunt's advice and practice.") So, hoping this finds any readers/writers/reviewers who might happen on to my profile well, I take my leave. 2 June Seventeenth, Two-thousand-Nine. Back again, to anyone who might happen upon the profile, I've gotten two and a half chapters and an outline done for a novel length fic. I want to get a little more bulk of the actual plot line integrated into the chapters (the first two are simply character outlines and they set the main conflict) before posting. So, doubtful that anyone will read this, I leave you with nothing but well-wishes and another one of my favorite lyrics. 3 June Twenty-Third, Two-Thousand-Nine. Today, I've discovered that reviews are my guilty pleasure. I recently (recently being aujourd'hui) posted "Hello," a stand-alone and to know that someone out there read it, someone thought it was well-written, is the best pleasure; better than Java Chip Frappacino's with mocha sauce on the whipped cream and that says something, considering I'm addicted to Starbucks' JCFs. Reviews aren't a writer's prerogative; They're a writer's pride. Frankly, a writer shouldn't write for the reviews, but write to incite reviews, if that makes any sense. So my words of wisdom to any aspiring writers: write for yourself. Don't ever settle for something you feel doesn't flow, something you feel is semidecent. Your harshest critic is yourself: reviews are amazing and they give you the sense of pride in your work. But the combination of pride in your work and pride in yourself is something else. Something that not even ten JCFs can bring. It's an all natural high. It makes you believe in true happiness. So, because I'm in a good mood, I'll leave you with a slightly more optimistic quote/lyric (Kurt Cobain was never the most optimistic lyricist, even though he was a blow-your-brains-out inspiration). This one was a toughie! 1 "Let's conspire to ignite all the souls that would die just to feel alive," 2 "I've been locked inside this heart-shaped box for weeks," -Nirvana. 3 "Just because I'm losing, doesn't mean I'm lost," -Coldplay |
